There's no such thing as central caste certificate for sc/st candidates.
It only applies to OBC and EWS candidates. SC/ST certificates are issued by state governments only and it's valid either ways. Certificate number is mentioned on SC/ST certificate already along with the signature and attestation of issuing authority.
Central level list is only applicable in case of OBCs and EWS.
If one has State caste certificate of SC/ST, it's valid for UPSC as well.
How do you know it ? Just curious already i am panicked as i have state certificate which is similar to the format given by upsc so that if centre one is not required i can go ahead with state one

You don't need to panic, cuz that's a valid certificate and you don't even need to update it again.
This guy knows nothing bout SC/ST certificate, cuz he doesn't hold one.
Your certificate number is already mentioned in your State SC caste certificate on the top left or right corner depending on the state that issued it.
You don't need to run here and there to update an SC certificate, cuz date of certification is not required in case of SC/ST certificate.
Go and read the notice first.
It's only State that issues SC/ST certificate.
There's no such thing called central list for SC/ST, such a stupid thing I've ever heard or come across, cuz sc/st list is prepared by the state and certificates are issued by the states only lmao.
Problems only occur in case of EWS and OBC candidates wherein certificates are scrutinized carefully for income criteria and that's why they have to update their certificates on a regular basis.
Furthermore, competent authority to issue an SC certificate will always be either DM or SDM in most of the cases. If you have your State level "SC" certificate in that prescribed format or may be not still it's valid.
UPSC has never rejected a candidate belonging to SC/ST community till now if the information provided by him on the certificate is correct.

Candidates getting rejected are mostly OBCs and EWS candidates who either didn't update their certificate or provided false information regarding their family income.
When you visit an SDM office for this stupidity, they will throw you out. 😂
The information provided here in this video is misleading the aspirants belonging to the SC/ST category.
Nowhere on the notification is mentioned that a certificate needs to be issued by the central govt. I am quoting the statement mentioned on page no 20, para 9 (1) "A candidate will be eligible to get the benefit of community reservation only in case the particular caste to which the candidate belongs is included in the list of reserved communities issued by the
Central Government. --------- This part is trying to say that your community name has to be in the "list" of reserved communities "issued by the central govt.", so here they are referring to the list issued by the central govt and not the certificate. Nowhere is mentioned that a caste certificate has to be issued by the central govt.
Also if you go with the prescribed performae for the SC/ST certificate provided on the upsc website is the same as the certificate provided by the State govt except for the letterhead of the respective state govt.
For any further queries, you may get in touch with UPSC directly instead of getting misled by UA-cam videos.
yes..he is also saying that community certificate number is the number on which your caste is listed .. but rather it is the number written on your certificate itself which is official number of your certificate on the top left corner.,

Waha likha hai OBC certificate for relaxation… aur notification me mention hai ke Non Creamy Layer certificate ye 1-4-2023 ke baad aur 5-3-2024 ke pehle ka hona chahiye…. I am from Kolkata district. Here the caste certificate is issued by "District Welfare Officer " so is it valid for central level exams. Very confusing 😕
If it is above teshildar or teshildar post it is valid.

@@Aspiring_sou_rav hm I am not sure. While filling the form they give an option for the person designation who has signed your certificate. You have to look into it. In my state only tehsildar makes caste certificates so I don't know much about them.
@@Aspiring_sou_rav anyway if your certificate is not valid you will be consider in general category. You will not be rejected as long as you are a full filling general cutoff.
Also they might give you time to rectify later but it's better to be sure before filling.
@@beastgaming7879 I think District Welfare Officer is above Tehsildar because Tehsildar is an Officer of Tehsil (or subdistrict) but DWO as the name suggest District means at District level so it should be superior to Tehsildar. What do you think?

For UP candidates ..Adhar number is mandatory with same name as applicable in exam form. Choose English format of caste certificate for central government posts.

केंद्र सरकार मे आपके जाति का एक्ट, जाति स्थान, सर्टिफिकेट जारी कर्ता का नाम और सील, स्पस्ट है तो sc/st के लिए कोई न्यू cast सर्टिफिकेट कि जरूरत नही, आपके राज्य का cast सर्टिफिकेट ही लग जायेगा। दूसरा यदि आप obc से हो और 1 वर्ष से अधिक आपका राज्य का सर्टिफिकेट नही है तो वह भी लग जाता है। यदि 1varsh से जयादा का ओल्ड सर्टिफिकेट है तो स्टेट सर्टिफिकेट को देख कर SDM/dm Central formate मे अपने sign और सील offline or online लगा देगा। तब तब उससे आपको सर्टिफिकेट कि new date मिल जायेगी , लेकिन सर्टिफिकेट नंबर ओल्ड ही रहेगा। फिर आप upsc फॉर्म फिल करते वक़्त न्यू सर्टिफिकेट डेट और old सर्टिफिकेट नंबर को फिल करके फॉर्म भर सकते है।

@@allizasona428 यदि आपके cast सर्टिफिकेट मे आपकी जाति संबंधी प्रेसिसेंट का ऑर्डर, जाति निवास, निर्धारित अथॉरिटी मतलब sdm/sdo/dm की सील और सिग्नेचर , Rs नंबर, cast सर्टिफिकेट जारी date आदि सर्टिफिकेट मे स्पस्ट रूप से है तो चल जायेगा। Upsc का फॉर्मेट कोई अलग नही है वह केंद्र सरकार द्वारा जारी फॉर्मेट है। और केंद्र सरकार उपरोक्त चीजो को ही देखता है

These coaching institutions are guiding everyone in a wrong way. THERE IS NO SUCH THING CALLED CENTRAL CASTE CERTIFICATE. if you are Obc you have to show a non creamy layer certificate if you are fulfilling the criterias under non creamy layer which is shortly known as NCL otherwise if you aren't fulfilling the criterias then you will be treated as general under the creamy layer. And also for sc and st you people have to generate a certificate called Format certificate for sc and st against your original caste certificate. You don't need to panic and you don't have to put your certificate number in that page. I beg to everyone don't listen to these coaching institutions, because they are creating unnecessary hassle with their hakf knowledge and guiding everyone wrongly. Those who are giving examination, just go through the official notification once. Everything is written there very clearly.
