Highlight - Mandelbrot Fractal Zoom

- A night-time version of a popular fractal zoom. Best viewed at 4k, it is a little dark in the first minute. This is a spin-off of "The Hardest Trip" video. It is proving quite popular, so I thought i would render another version of it. It is the same dataset, so it has the same basic shapes, but the colour scheme is a little different. Sorry to repeat the use of datasets, but my PCs are busy working on a few things.
Thank-you to my supporters on Patreon.
This video will be available for Patreons to download in the coming days, which will have a higher bitrate. You can also use these visuals on your own channel if you are a member of my Patreon page. / mathstown

there is no reason to dislike this video apart from being high and mishitting the like button
im high and i am not even mad at the video bro
Sometimes the camera doesn’t go where I want it to.
i know Im randomly asking but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account?
I was stupid forgot the login password. I love any assistance you can offer me
@Davis Conner instablaster ;)
Always?
That's life for you. It tends to lead you into different directions that you didn't intend, into surprises.
You can't control everything, Eddie.
Really a fascinating space in the "black land" Looks like a mixture between 2d and 3d.
Really again a very interesting and beautiful fractal zoom. Thanks for uploading.. :-)
Thanks so much. This is the clearest rendering I've ever seen and it's gorgeous!
This is probably my favorite fractal zoom. I love that it is easier on the eyes. When I put these on sometimes it just feels a little much having them lasered into my retinas 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely splendid! It certainly feels more 3D. It's beautiful.
i really liked this look similar to the "Bass" mandelbrot zoom you did recently, i'm glad you did a deep version of this
i think there is the same music in the video as well
nice brot at the end as well
Stunning
Love the illusion of filigree sitting atop a tufted surface.
Wtf is this channel? It's amazing how you do this thing i dont undertand at all. Honestly i just wanna get really drunk and watch one of this all day long
I hope you learn it & make more art
@@JonBailey same. i dont think ill ever get to this level of talent tho ;-;
LSD
the dark of the background really makes the colors and patterns stick out more. This is one of my faves now!
2:20 I can’t believe I just saw a julia set inside a Mandelbrot set
the mandelbrot set is the map of all julia sets
You can see Mandelbrots inside a Julia set too.
@@Bitzy 's right
@@万宇阳 interesting
I love this night mode! This is so beautiful
Awesome playlist despite the repetition :-)
Nah im viben on this one. The color shift is amazing
My fave so far
Thou, should consider more copies, I love this.
great variety. estimated, if we associate a meter to the end of the zoom, fractals like this are far bigger than the size of the observable universe. nice
The Master GC Melter does it again !
Awesome
also and unusual are the odd numbered spirals, the 5's and the 7's, -don't see those often, might add -rare
*thank you* 🌟👏
Very near to one of my favorites, "A trip to infinity"
Hey Maths Town, do you think you could make a short video explaining your system and the software you use to make these beautiful videos?
Always amazing!
I tripped so bad last night with this one. Mushrooms and THC
17:08 is my favorite part
Just remember that this is only one pixel in the whole set.
The Mandelbrot set has shown how math can produce some beautiful patterns. Unfortunately, the symbols that this math helps create are appropriated and modified a bit which makes people want to steer clear entirely to avoid any confusion.
Great video. I love the dark set. It looked like I was watching it on a 3D screen!
I've been watching a lot of trippyeverything which led me to your page, and i'm so happy it did. i love your fractals.
Keta says: wullaaaabababallaaabaaaa 🌈✨

Wow, that must be the best color scheme...
Too dark. Gives me chills. And they're multiplying.......
Needed this one, much love. Beautiful
I have a serious question maths town. How did you make the colour palette for “accidental masterpiece” because i have noticed in some parts that the blacks and whites are blended with the colour so the colour isn’t perfectly black or white resulting in a nice look.
From memory it was random, with alternate black and white added, or something like that. Hence the title, that one was just good luck, no thought involved.(Don't tell anyone)
👏👏👏
I CAN SEE FOREVER

"Half of what I say is meaningless... "
Another stunning work!
Whats the 1st 2 tracks title/ artist?
Beautiful!
The multiple swastikas were surprising. Idk why they’re in this
Сложно представить, что это всё реально ♥
how can i make these myself? is there a softwear?
oh it would be so great (eventhough i dont know how) if you did something like this as music visualizer!
... maybe like in your "hardest trip" video and these moving colour shapes would be responsive to music :0
See "Bass" video. The audio visualisation is not too hard actually.
@@MathsTown oooh i didnt know! very cooL! i'd love to see more of it :)) maybe one where the shapes move normally but the colours change with music...
Could you please post the r+i parameters you used to render this?
What program do you use to create these masterpieces?
Excuse me if my question is silly or makes no sense, but is the start figure THE big Mandelbrot that contains infinity, or is it just a random baby Mandelbrot of another bigger one in an infinity of Mandelbrots ?
So, we choose a colour based on how many time we calculate the sum before it escapes (gets big). The black parts are the Mandelbrot, where it never escapes (the count is infinite). The start and end Mandelbrots are actually one. It is proven they are connected by ultra thin strands. Does that answer your question?
@@MathsTown Yes, thanks a lot !
Wow. The swastika at 19:30 took me by surprise!!!
mendelbrot represent
How do you achieve this precision?
It uses an arbitrary floating point library (GMP)
@@MathsTown Thanks. Google called.
Wow! amazing 🤩how long did it take to render?
I LOVE YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can anybody enlighten me what kind of music in this video?
They say that no one can transverse an infinite. That is a miss conception of truth. You can transverse an infinite on a vertical level.
Бесконечные бесконечности 😍😍
What program do you use to calculate this?
He uses Kalle's Fraktaler 2
Hey maths town, I have a request. I didn’t know if it would fit better here or math guild, but I’m commenting here. What would happen if you potted the Mandelbrot set in 3 dimensions, where the z axis represented different initial real values for z? You could also implement a slider or something for the complex component of z.
Yes, nice idea. I am playing with 3d a little at the moment. Ill try it when I get time, and post if the results are interesting.
the amount of dopamine that released when I realised I could increase the resolution and decrease the framerate holy shit
Anybody who knows what the song that starts at 17:36 is called? :D
8:00
What is the name of this set guys? 40:22
How can this be?
#29:03 double moustachi was there
You probably should have used different music for a repeat dataset. I actually like this music. I just think it gets a bit boring if you use the same music as you always do for this location.
Не все это понимают ; но мне нравится такое🌐🌏🌸🌾
19:28 Swastika lol
Playback speed needs another gear or 2

It ends where it starts.

cool but I don't like the projection
This is getting a little out of hand
great visually, but a rather annoyingly jaunty soundtrack

The reverse mandelbrot set in 9:57, was quite unexpected, especially since it is slightly off from the x axis...
This is mind blowing! What an awesome visual artwork this is.
Wow! There are some chinese Dragons in there! Thank you so much! Can't get enough of your fractal zooms!
