Very cool, man. I just ordered my first little forge (charcoal/trench) and can't wait ta get started. Love to see how that blower looks with a cool coat of paint. NOW I wanna know how to weld!

could you show us the cleaned up gears on your champion blower ?

The stand and especially clamp for the blower is thinking while using you brain! Perfect solution, I could have easily fabed up some kind of bracket to get it done but doubt it would have been as easy and functional as your creation!
Another question, you mentioned changing from coal to coke the forge changes? Is it that much difference? The reason I ask is I have been using charcoal now for almost a year, after being exclusively LPG and have recently been able to find a supplier of coke, coal being impossible to buy here in AUS even though we are one of the biggest world suppliers, and have the the largest reserves ! Dont ask,I dont know why!

I am in the middle of a portable forge project myself, it was interesting to see how you went about it setting yours up. I made my table a little longer and I am thinking about mounting my electric blower underneath the far side of the table. How is your setup working out?

    • @Wolfsdenforge

Mine is working out great. A buddy has an electric blower under his forge, make sure it's far enough away from the firepot that it won't get messed up. Electric motors hate heat and the firepot will radiate a great deal of it. Good luck, I hope it turns out well!

Thanks buddy. I got the blower for free, so it's not a big deal to swap it out for something else if it doesn't end up working out well. Hopefully I can have it wrapped up soon!

Is there a link you can send me to buy the same fire pot? I’m having a bit of trouble finding it. The fire pot looks really nice. Thank you

I got it from Laurel Machine and Foundry in Laurel, MS. They don't have an online store, I drove there and picked mine up. The one I have is the extra thick coke forge fire pot because I do a lot of forge welding.

No, I made those chains myself. I think the pendant came from Grimfrost, though.
