i stumbled on your channel and love this video. Enjoyed it a lot. Thank you. I have a question for you. I am planning to purchase a vintage Mercedes soon. I looked at 2 cars which I like. Trying to choose one from those 2 options.
Option 1) 1963 Benz 220S automatic ( dual carburetors)
- carburetors we’re rebuilt 11 months ago. Runs good. Needs little cosmetic work. I did some online searching about carburetors and I discovered online that they have issues with cold starts.
Option 2) 1964 Benz 220SE ( fuel injection, key ignitions been updated). (Manual transmission). Unfortunately I do not know how to drive a manual. This car is in excellent shape mechanically and cosmetically
Question:
1) Should I stay away from carburetors?
2) is cold start an issue with carburetors?
3) which option would you recommend from these 2?
