Do the papers come out of the hexagons before they are appliqued to the background?

Excellent explanation and easy to follow even for foreign quilters. I only wonder, if you take out the paper afterwards or not, because when you appliqued the double hearts you sew through the paper!? So it might be hard to pull it out? Regards from Germany

Hi Ursula, it's not freezer paper in the hearts it's a fusible webbing so it stays in the hearts after sewing. But if you are using freezer paper definitely take the paper out before sewing all the way around. I hope this helps ;)

My acrylic shapes were 3/8 seam allowance and made my star the wrong shape.
