The Hiya toys sculpt and accuracy wise is the definitive Legendary Godzilla. It’s the closest to the film and the articulation is top notch for what it is. The SHMA despite being easier to get honestly looks like garbage in comparison even with the slightly more textured sculpt. The Hiya has more paint detail and the sculpt is as detailed as the actual movie model as opposed to having extra texture to make up for the lack of paint.
i don’t know if you two are on drugs Sculpt and paint is better on the Hiya have you even watched Godzilla vs Kong? he looks literally like the movie The SH looks like a chinese bootleg
Hiya has the best accuracy to film look but the Monsterarts has the best articulation. You can recreate the scene where Godzilla is shooting his atomic breath downwards in GvK due to how it is sculpted.
Traditionally I would say ShMA because I’m quite a big fan of there line, however in recent times they have been quite sloppy… Hiya nailed the head sculpture in ways ShMA couldn’t - which is the main reason I want a hiya
Screen accuracy is everything to me, so I picked the NECA over SHMA, when they were the only choices. I’ve never liked SHMA’s sculpts. I’m so happy that HIYA is stomping both of them though. I can’t wait for HIYA’s Ghidorah.
I gotta say NECA has better paint work than SHMA on this particular figure. The 2021 Godzilla has horrid paint, especially around the mouth. They saved the good atomic finish for that DVD exclusive version, which is simply unfair.
@@Ergeniz But I tell you what, what if ShMa does that paint job for a Godzilla 2022 poster version like G19. HIYA did it for the statue as an exclusive.
@@kajiubeast181 What if what? I might get it, depending on price and depending on if its exclusive. I kind of hope HIYA takes over the legendary series for articulated figures. SHMA is overpriced and has QC issues.
Didn't pick up the SHMA Godzilla just the Neca ones and of course the Hiya Toys. And my pick is Hiya Toys because well he's a big boy and painted well, but yeah that's about it.
I think this comparison is 'odd'. The counterparts to the hiya should be the non-atomic (2014) versions for the SHMA and NECA. I've no doubt the Hiya will come out with an blue fin variant in the future and then it would be a bit more valid?
The MonsterArts used in the video was used since it is from the same film. The 2014 is much more different in terms of detailing and sculpt then what was used here.
@@TheGeekChest I understand that you're comparing same film releases. Its just odd that the Hiya isn't a direct comparison since it hasn't received a heat radiation variant yet. So to me, its like a 'yes, but no'.

I have every SHMA Godzilla 2019 (except for poster version), so I love my SHMA, but to me, if you want the most movie accurate Godzilla....Hiya all day, and best of all he fits in perfectly with your NECA or SHMA Godzillas or monsters, save for maybe the tiny Mothra. But if you want articulation, ease of access and oddly enough....price: MA. The worst thing about the SHMA is how skinny the neck is. The NECA is closer to the movies in terms of sculpt....but paint, awful. I'd say if you can get him, Go for Hiya, but SHMA are coming down in price, especially the GvK, but even the base 2019, you can find for about $150-200. I woudn't even bother with the NECA, and I have all 3 versions. Though the 2014 NECA is more movie accurate than SHMA, so theres that.....Until Hiya makes him next year. So excited for Hiya's Rodan and Mothra!
I’ve never really looked into getting NECA G-man figures with enthusiasm but I love the variety of Godzillas in the KOTM line and although owning most of them, I do really prefer the SHM line cause there is more articulation and enjoyment with posing but for rough playing and bashing around with other figs I recommend NECA. Every SHM I own has at least one issue that makes the dynamic poses limited with the 2014 goji being an exception. Neca’s rubbery materiel tends to loosen over time and eventually falls of over and over again. Accuracy is mixed as the rubber stretches on NECA and makes head sculpts and proportions weird but SHM is a more artistic conceptual version of the movie design. Hiya toys is a must buy as it gathers things from both NECA and shm, alsong with the best accuracy out of all three. The best paint job also goes to hiya toys as the sculpt really helps it shine. I personally have a bias over SHM usually because I have more of them compared to hiya and NECA but for this fight hiya toys wins Sculpt: Hiya Price: NECA Articulation: S.H Monsterarts Accuracy: Hiya Enjoyment: Hiya (posing, solo playing) S.H M (Posing) Neca (playing & bashing around with friends *limited dynamics*) Hiya KOTM Goji or Hiya GvK Goji v2

It doesn’t help that mine had loose joints and warped pieces out of the box, like a twisted hip and bent dorsal plates. :/
