Hi Shiptube, I have a few questions about howyo believe Titanic sank. - 1. Which direction and how deep do you think the first 2 funnels fell? 2. When do you think the 4th funnel fell or broke off the stern? I personally believe during the descent. 3. How do you believe the listing throughout the sinking went? 4. Do you think the double bottom held on post breakup? 5. How many sections do you believe Titanic broke into? 6. When do you believe each boat left? 7. Which time do you believe each deck began to flood / water reached on the outside? 8. Do you believe the lights went out in sections throughout the sinking? I believe they did as several witnesses testified. 9. When do you believe the plunge began, forward funnels falling and break? Which position do you believe the ship was in when the break occurred? 10. Do you believe the starboard boats were all swung out one after eachother or one boat being swung out, then as loading / lowering begins, the next boat swung out? I tend to believe the second option (Maybe also with some port boats such as 10 explaining why it left so late) as it matches what Witnesses describe. Great video aswell, keep up the great work :)
hey there so for the funnel questions I would say they would have fell down when the base of the funnel where submerged the pressure of the water was too high for the tin metal of the 2 funnels for the fourth funnel I have to go with it broke off when the stern was sinking wich would make sense if you look at the front forces of the water for the listing I would say the theory what we have now where titanic list towards the damaged area first but when Scotland road got flooded definitely had a big influence on the list but I would say aswell a huge mistake was leaving the door open on D-deck if that door was closed I believe titanic had for shure more time for the double bottom I would say it held on for a certain time also when the break up happend the area of the 3rd funnel broke off so you can say titanic broke up technically in 3 pieces If you count the damage been done by the break up for the lifeboat question that's a really good question what I think they did setup make them all ready to load in passengers but if you look what happend is in my opinion the cancelation of the lifeboat drill definitely played a disadvantage in the sinking I would say they swung out the boats as many as possible at the same time for the flooding I would say it took its time in the beginning for each deck to flood but like I mentioned earlier In the text the door on d deck definitely did speed up the process of the flooding for the lights I think most of them went out when the water was high enough to cause them to fail cause the lights inside where not made to handle water or flooding but yh I do believe sections of lights started to fail while titanic was sinking for the final plunge I would say it started when the bridge was flooding that's when it started and the ships position I would say the stern was about 30 degrees up and titanic was almost on a even keel I hope this answers your questions I have to say again really good question s 👍💯💯
@@ShipTube Thanks for reply. 1. I personally believe the forward funnel fell forward and to starboard as Boat A and B has moved to that side and the second funnel fell shortly after to starboard. 25 feet submerged for me, almost half due to their design as shown in THG. 2. I believe the 4th funnel coming off in descent. 3. I also agree with this. I have my own theory on the lists on my channel. V28 uploaded last week. 4. I believe the double bottom failed as the stern finished settling and that the bow and stern separated then. 5. I believe the forward tower came off 10 seconds after stern settled as many witnesses said it was a 3 part break and also explains confusion in break locations. 6. I have a list as to when I believe each boat left. Will post shortly. 7. I have a list as to when deck submerged. 8. I also agree with the lights going out in sections due to water short circuiting areas. When do you believe each of the circuits failed out of interest? Will list circuits shortly. 9. I personally believe the slight but definite plunge began at early 2:17 and the Top Cant and big drop at 2:17:30 as witnesses said the plunge was very quick. Break at 2:17:50 at 30 degrees roughly, give or take abit. With the ship being under by 2:23 - 2:25. 10. I personally believe Boat 5 was finishing uncovering as 7 began loading. And 9 began uncovering at 12:30 and was being swung out as Boats 5 and 7 were leaving with 11, 13 and 15 being uncovered. Then, shortly after 1 o'clock, as Boat 9 was leaving, 11 and 13 are swung out and lowered to A deck, then after these boats were lowered to A deck, 15 is swung out at 1:10 and lowered to A deck. Then, at 1:25, Boat 11 leaves, followed 5 minutes later by 13, then shorlty after by 15. 15 and 13 taking 20 minutes to load based off Walter Nichols estimate. (Boat 10 may have not been swung out till Boat 12 was leaving explaining why it did not leave for abit after 12 and 14, atleast 20 minutes) After 15 has began lowering, 1 minute later, Murdoch goes to the port side briefly to Boat 10, then going forward reaching Boat C at 1:45 and it being swung out and loading then beginning with the boat leaving at 2:03:30. What are your thoughts on this?
@@ShipTube Hi Shiptube, i have 2 questions: 1. What are your thoughts on the new lights out theory where lights go out in sections? I personally agree with it as it explains numerous accounts. 2. Do you have a theory on how Titanic sank? If so, what is the theory out of interest?
@@IloveCruiseShips1912 well on the light theory it would make sense do i have my own theory i would say that you always should take testimonys and apply fysics to it and with the Technology of today we can go pretty close of what happend that night what i would finding intresting is how the break up would look from interior perspective
