    I would try that bow in the. 80% let off. It's nice that it's just two simple screws to adjust. It helps smooth out that draw cycle. I preferred this bow over the V3X 33. Much more manageable riser length, and the grip is much better.

      I too would push those letoff pegs in, but I did want to see it right out of the box for feel. Still pretty solid at 85%.

    Went to a local Matthews shop and the "Open" sign was on but the door was locked. Drove 100 miles to another shop that was open and fully staffed. They had an Elite Omnia and Hoyt Ventum 33 setup to test drive. It was divine intervention I guess because I was set on the V3x 33. I loved the smooth feel and hard punch of the Ventum Pro.

    How would you compare the Hoyt Ventum Pro to the Elite Enkore or the Elite Remedy? Love both the Enkore and the Remedy, just curious how you would compare those 3 bows. Thanks!

    Hoyt has improved greatly the last few years. Great feel on the shot of their bows no. Very dead on the hand

    Bought a Hoyt torrex and fletching we're hitting rest. Then had to lean cam with two twist in yoke and move d loop so far up the arrow is pointing down to get a bullet hole. It's been to four different shops. Not sure I'll go with Hoyt again 😔

      I went for torrex xt ld version 70lbs I’m in U.K. I don’t live close to any archery shop (I wish If I could) it took me while to set the bow right and I mean without bench press etc it was very hard as I only bought the field press with help a lot the only pain in the arse was that I have to take in and out a lot I watch and learn about bow settings sight papers tuning but in the end I done ✅ it and I’m not regretting the torrex xt for me is the bow and man you won’t believe I mark just under 30 yards a yellow mark on a target size of bottle cap maybe inch round circle and I can hit in the centre or on edge or half inch off ! For me that impressive just waiting for the weather to pick up so can set up for up to 100yards I’m using viper venom sight sidewinder top sight for me . And one more thing.if you told me or someone that I have to spend over 1000bucks for a bow a 350 for a sight an expensive arrow a500bucks for a press a decent target and I have to set up fricking bow myself cos not everyone lives near by archery shop take ages to set up myself and get frustrated and no body tell you from the beginning what will cost you ! If someone tell me now don’t matter who I will tell him to stick this bow in his arse for that money. The cost for a follower’s and I’m talking about people who buying the new bow each year to just say hey look I got brand new bow and iPhone off course.the cost is just ridiculous to the end of a day is just the bow ! I know is a sport but come on! Any way my friend you live in America if I only walk in your trousers right now for those money 2.5 k if you want the flag ship bow and all the gadgets press etc you could get a pretty decent rifle and less hustle cigars and I would enjoy hunting more (by the way in Europe most countries bow hunting is forbidden any way ).people like us powered up the economy in many ways they have to sell the product.i watched a lot video and when you listen to people they give you options this bow is great this one dead on shoot or in the hand all the Bollock but one thing I remember from college physic anything from a bow or gun create vibrations when the energy is released and the only see how much it can be check in a special machine with are measured by computer not fricking hand so always make me laugh watching different people opinions on a the same bow 😂.any way I hope you didn’t get bored reading this ! Enjoy your torrex hope you won’t give up!

    This is probably a basic question but I'm struggling to find a video to help me out. I recently purchased a 2022 Hoyt Ventum Pro 30, I want to do the build myself and I am going slow to get it right, Question ??When setting my nock height or position on my string, some say to measure from axle to axle, cut in half and measure off one axle and there is your center on the string, Others talk about a high nocking point? I also purchased the Hoyt QAD rest and some say to put the rest on and zero the rest out on the bow limb marks for the rest and then find your nocking point off the rest with a string T-square. Sorry for the long winded question but any guidance and advice is appreciated.

    Not a Hoyt guy, but I’ll give them props with the Ventum Pro 33. First Hoyt I’ve considered buying after shooting a few dozen through it. They definitely upped their game from years past.

      Thanks for the reply, Its a almost a dead even tie for me. I think I prefer the feel of the ventum better but also worried about seeing the riser through the peep which I’ve heard some people are having trouble with.

      That was the reason for the redesign of the HBX cam. Supposedly the HBX Pro cam has resolved that issue. Most likely that is the reason for the inability to swap modules with the Ventum from 2021.

    For your money. Which bow would you buy. Ventum Pro 33, Mathews VX3 33, or the SR350?? I currently shoot a Bowtech Reign 6 and a 520 grain arrow. 28 inch draw at 70lbs

    • @averagejackarchery

    So what difference does it make if the modules are interchangeable with last year’s bow? There are only 2 sizes of rotating modules for this model, you will only need one and it will be on the bow when you get it, who cares if it fits last years model? I don’t understand am I missing something?

    I almost bought the Hoyt Torrex at the new local archery 🏹 shop, but I remember that you said that they had a spongy back wall and I couldn’t pass up on the Left hand Prime Black 3 they had.

    Do you like the Athens vista 33 better than the ventum?

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  3 роки тому +2

      The Ventum is a solid platform, no doubt. Logistically, the Athens is $200 for a base model, or even less if you want one of the custom colored Hoyts. Hoyt definitely has more speed if you're into that too! I personally will take more adjustment in my letoff and a smoother cycle with the Athens.

    Hoyt Ventum Pro 33 or Athens Vista 33?

    • @averagejackarchery

      Draw cycle alone, I'd give it to the Vista. Price point and more adjustable with letoff, it not even a competition. Vista all the way.

      @@briantrimboli2192 After testing the V31, I did ask if they wanted a full, year long review of their bows, and the agreed (money free) and sent me a V35. Also helps the channel to have a fresh bow to setup and show people the ropes!

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  3 роки тому +1

      @@801tb Tuning is very user specific with their specs and the arrow they want to shoot. Both run a 3 track binary cam with shims. So it's a toss up there. As for forgiveness, the Athens is less of the speed bow, and "traditionally", that usually lends to a more forgiving setup. This again is very user centered although has been my experience testing and tuning my own and customers bows for years.

    85% let off will be faster than 80%.
    The way the cam stop changes the let off, with 85% the cam rolls slightly further, so loads more energy.
    Different YT channel did tests w/ 2021 hoyts last year showing that.
    Would be quick vid for you to confirm that

      My biggest complaint with Hoyt is their price points for a base model, 3-track, binary cam system that has been around for decades. If they focused less on the bells and whistles and got back to their roots of building a solid bow platform and not competing with Mathews for the marketing machine, I think they could be the same household name they were for decades.
