So fun! Really appreciate you taking us along to a joyous event in the Netherlands that I never would’ve known even existed! Big thanks, Traveling Beat!
😃 Haha, I was standing right beside you in the "traffic jam" right after the start on day 1. I have even recorded your banner/flag as it was too windy. And now YT suggested your video. 👌
@@travelinbeat They did, they did. So many things I experienced as well... (No shit, Sherlock! I know. 😂) When I got to the last day's video... I think we "met" again on the dike between Overasselt and the long motorway bridge. I think, two guys dressed like you overtook me. So "Hi! 👋" again from Germany and see you next year for the full 200 kms. 🤣
This is fantastic! My sister in law is from Holland! The Netherlands are beautiful and they do now how to throw a proper celebration. I remember Martin! This is going to be a wonderful series!😊
Oh cool!! Run this by your sister in law, I'd be interested to know whether she is foliar with the event. According to Martin it occupies a not-inconsequential part of the national consciousness!
Hi Richard, thanks. A major event indeed, but vierdaagse (four days) is also culture. In Holland, children at school participate in vierdaagse every year. The Nijmegen vierdaagse is the largest and everyone is welcome. Yep, 05.00 AM and the rest of the morning you will be encouraged with DJs, bands, food and drinks (beer ;)
@@martinfromholland751 Hello Martin! Greetings from Japan. Have heard about you through Beat's videos, so very nice to "meet" you. Over here in our little town of Takaoka, we have some historical cultural event, but nothing as wonderful as this ... and ... sadly ... although school students used to get a day off to participate, that is no longer the case. Thanks to you and all in the Netherlands for the inspiration!
Haha, these Dutch people, they are mad 😄 Great event, but that would be way way way too many people for me… well done with the fun footage, and the distance 👍😀
Yes it certainly is quite a huge event! I don't blame you for being a little pyt-off by the crowds, I suppose I'm the rare bird who can thoroughly enjoy both solitude and throngs!

HAHA Awesome!! So great to hear from a fellow participant! I hope you feel that these three videos do justice to the experience!

Oh cool! What was the other channel, may I ask? I'm very interested to see how they captured / present it!
