    I think by "basic" he means that there are no parenthesis or brackets. Although yes, a few of those tricks would not fit my definition of "basic" either (no more than a period of 5, and no 7s).

    didn't really see anything I haven't seen before (I've spent a lot of time playing with siteswap simulators online) but nonetheless, very impressive.
    I said I have seen all of them, I didn't say I could do all of them though (although I can do twelve of them). Mainly the only problem I have is that I'm ok at 6s and I'm not very good at 7s.
