I really love Guzman and Nadia but can we talk about the friendship between Nadia and Samuel. Like Nadia’s dad trusts him and she is allowed to go to his parties and study with him. I hop that we will see more Nadia and Samuel in season 2
Another thing is the possibilty of Nadia amd Lu being friends or at least frenemies. Since Lu has already admitted that she's always seen Nadia as an equal maybe we can have a moment where they try to put their differences aside in order to do something together. That'd be awesome to see

I'm wondering the same. I have not watched this show, but I didn't like girl shown as Muslim. They could've picked a conservative Christian girl because conservative Christian girls can be virgin too. But they chose Muslim girl who is falling for the white boy, hugging him and offering her body while wearing hijab.
This is sick 😢 or they could have shown her non practisingn muslim. Her father is oppressive and brother is theif and gay.. Waoo!! I'm not saying muslims can't do that stuff, but they put all the terrible things in one family. If I were not a Muslim and knew about Islam, this type of content would make Islam look terrible..

My prediction for season 2 for this ship is that Guzman will be sad about his sister and be with lu for the first couple of episodes. Him and Nadia will began talking again and there will be a major event that brings them closer

In the beginning I thought Guzman will have 0 chemistry with Nadia. He is just handsome and lacks personality. But boy oh boy, he proved me 100% wrong. Loved it. Full personality, full character and such a nice kid.
Guzman was the best character in the show and had the best character development.
I just want Lu to move on and be happy. And Guzman to grieve and be happy. And Nadia to push her biases aside and be with Guzman, and be happy.
And Lu and Nadia to get along. Since Lu has already admitted that she doesn't hate Nadia and has always seen her as an equal.

Lu doesn’t deserve happiness especially after season 2, racists don’t want to be happy they always want to be above everyone else. Anyone who insults others, especially because of things they can’t change, aren’t the ones who deserve to be happy. Nadia was friends with marina and rebe in season 2. She doesn’t need a friend like lu. Seeing how selfish and judgmental lu was towards Carla, she’s better off not being friends with her.
Islam isn't biases it's a religion
All these people saying ‘they represent Islam badly’ this is a tv show it’s not a documentary about Islam. They’re trying to represent a female Muslim character. Do all Muslim girls have to be hijabis? Do I, as a non-hijab I Muslim girl, not exist? Do I not deserve to be represented? Can I not be accepted? Does the girl who wore the hijab then decided to throw it off not deserve to be represented? Is she not allowed to do that? Then don’t lie and say hijab is a choice if you’re going to make such a big deal when even a FICTIONAL character decides to not wear it sometimes! I don’t see Muslims complaining about Nadia’s brother dealing drugs even though he’s Muslim, but Nadia sometimes not wearing the hijab is such a big deal????
Hijabis face discrimination in western cultures, but as a girl who has fought not to wear the hijab since I was 10 and who lives in the Middle East, I face bigotry and disrespect and harassment very often! My family refuses to accept me, my own father says I dishonor him and that he’s ashamed to walk in public with me! In school, Islamic education teachers tell the class that every strand of hair that is seen by a man will put the girl in hell for 70 years, so an entire head of hair means I’m going to be burned alive for millions of year for each man who saw me, and I’m only 19 now, so since I was 11 I was doomed to go to hell?
Congratulations, you live in the west where you have a choice whether to wear the hijab or not, but if you care so much about representation where is our representation? The girls I know who wore the hijab wore it at 11 or so, and were too scared to refuse to wear it - where’s the choice there? And then they grow up and they use it as social points to be higher in status than non-hijabis, they are forced to resort to portraying themselves as a ‘pure clean hijabi girl’ and end up enjoying it and seeing it as a part of their identity. For this reason, these girls then dare to say it was a choice when they grow up, because a) they don’t want westerners to look at Islam, at their identity, badly, b)they got used to the hijab, c) they never had the chance to say no. They wore it at 11 bc they were too scared to say no, so she grows up and lies to herself that if she said no at the time her parents wouldn’t force her - but as a girl who did say no, I went through fucking hell because my no was an unacceptable defiance and disgrace. I had to resign myself at a young age to the fact that I would never be fully accepted or loved by family. I have been forced not to attend high school until I wore the hijab, but eventually did go despite not wearing it bc my dad is gentle compared to other dads I know who wouldn’t accept a no. My friend refused to wear it and missed half the year until she showed up with a hijab. To the hijabi girl who says it’s a choice, I ask her: if you took it off right this second, just for a day, what would your parents do? Would they let you? The silence is an answer by itself, loud and clear. Don’t ask for representation and cry when it’s not a caricature of the holy pure virgin madonna hijabi daughter wife sister mother who’s never her own individual. We Muslim women are human. We ‘sin’ and bleed and sweat and cry. This is an adult tv show, it isn’t an Islamic textbook where the likes of me will never be represented but only the ideal I will never meet. Representation doesn’t mean seeing an IDEAL version of a Muslim girl on tv but a REAL person - though it’s quite telling your ideal version requires a hijab.
My heart broke reading this and i hope you keep being strong, your parents (I’m sorry to say this) sounds uneducated about the religion, even the religion against what they were doing, I’m so mad when some of muslim community do this, my blood boiled when i read this kind of problem in our community, i pray for my muslim sisters and brothers around the world that has been oppressed to always stay mentally and physically strong, short story to tell you, my family is pretty open minded, even one of my female cousin felt comfortable to take their hijab off but we don’t even care, it’s her life between Allah, stay strong sister.❤️

Dear Muslim people. It is just a movie. They can't please everyone with the concept. Many muslim gurls feel the way she feels about wearing a hijab. Besides she was asked to stop wearing it by the school. She is a young girl who just wants to be like the others in her school that does not completely speak for every muslim girl out there but many can relate to her. I broke up with my muslim bf because he would want me to dress up fully covered all the time and I was 22 at that time and wanted to feel sexy and just dress the way I wanted. So it is not for everyone. My friend frim Syria wears no Hijab. She is 33 and lives with her bf which many muslim people think it is bizarr. But hse is different and wants to live her life her way. My other friend is 34 and married with 4 kids been married since 16. But we are all friends and don't judge other. We hang out together. We are different in our own ways but at the end of the day what matters is that we carr for one another. Yeah this movie speaks from a certain point of view which most but not every muslim can relate to.

i cant say that this drama was very interesting and giving a beautiful love story between a muslim and a non muslim but somehow its truly didnt show the truth about islam. women cant show their hair to others especially men whos having no relationship with them and also cant touch them and absolutely cant kiss them. i just found this drama but it dissapointed me how the nadia potrayed a muslim but yet giving a bad perspective toward islam from other. not saying i was religiously person but dude you cant play with others religion and please respect all the religion that existed in this world either it completely different or just the same. just giving my oppinion and spread no hate
Maybe you are right but I dont think that there is just one way of living a religion. Everyone interpretes something else in their religions. So I do not think that there is a "proper" way . Additionally I also do not think that the series portraying Islam in a negative way cause in almost every series they portray Islam as something bad and show us how women or girls get beaten by their fathers but in this series we have two parents that really care and love their children. I mean yes Nadias father is not perfect but the other parents aren't perfect, either. But still they are trying.

This show did show the reality of many Muslim girls, not all Muslim girls can abstain from sex, or wear the hijab 24/7, or not ever touch boys. I’m Muslim and Nadias role was what drew me to this show cause it was basically a show version of me, my cousins, my friends and millions of other Muslim girls in the world

I am a Muslim and I say that the way they presented about my religion is not the same as the reality and everyone knows this Muslims enjoy a wonderful and honorable life. We wear what we want to go anywhere and there is no such kind of parents in our time, the kind who does not understand anything and only orders, but we are just a little reticent and my point is that we do not fucking Anytime, anywhere and with anyone in order to avoid these problems, and because it is not a good thing, we can control our desires and not spoil the universe with them and disappoint everyone. I think that living clean, respect and intelligence is something special.

it's all great being 'open minded' and 'not judging' but in actual fact your a shit friend allowing your friends to do haram and not telling them it's wrong I get that they'll probably still do it but you should at least tell them that our religion forbids eating pork because it's bad for your health and drugs/alcohol are forbidden because Allah (s.w.t) doesn't want you to get addicted because addiction will ruin your life and health (obviously)

and the 'hypocrite ones' you hate so much are better than the ones who openly reveal they sin because they don't care that they're sinning and in most cases don't care about Islam and are very ill inforned at least the 'horrible hypocrites' still have shame for their sins which means they at least understand the true consequences of their actions and lying is bad but at least they have a chance for forgiveness if they make tawbah and their tawbah will be more sincere due to their shame compared to the open sinner who again most likely doesn't care that they're sinning and don't see anything bad in what they've done
