What i found that helps me doing solfege is to go from MI TO DO OR FA TO DO sol to DO but not starting at DO and practicing in different keys by doing this your brain is going to hear other notes. Thanks for your tips that was nice
I know of this singing App called Riyaz App. You could give it a try for self training and practice. To get the App go to Playstore or Appstore - get.riyazapp.com/rRgS29lJnAb
A fantastic video. I really wish that I lived in the same city as you and had the money to take private lessons with you. I was working on a song today from one of those song books you can buy. The song sounded nothing like what it was supposed to. I now have the tools to work on it and straighten it out. I can't tell you how I was wishing that I could talk to you to straighten out the song because it is one of my favorites.
@@PianoandVoicewithBrenda I know all sorts of people use gonna and wanna, etc. I even catch myself sometimes. Oops. But, since you responded - thank you - my old Latin teacher Thelma Bergquist would say such words promote sloppy speech. I concur. You wouldn't want your students to play sloppy music - I suspect. Gonna is a hard one, but ... Another word - gonna is hard on my ears. Cheers.

The biggest take away for me is singing the bass parts.
It’s a huge game changer! I have learned hundreds of songs by ear this way.
Sing sing sing - such an important lesson. Thank you!
Always! Glad you enjoyed it.
That’s your collarbone, not your sternum
You are great Brenda. But, GONNA doesn't fit your expertise.
Haha! We all have to be casual sometimes. I’m not a stuffy teacher.
