I am listening to this while reading her biography.. She didn't come from a super rich family like the others .. She was forced to separate from her parents because of financial problems.. She failed auditions 20 times before becoming a trainee in LOEN Entertainment.. Her debut song didn't had that great impact and you could also say it wasn't successful but she still stayed positive and continued her music career despite the insults she heard and received .. Look at her now..I am not a hardcore fan but I really do appreciate her music and her passion for it~ I will be rooting for you Lee Ji eun ^^ For those who continue to bash her .. I hope your ears melt with IU's serenading voice ~~

I did not regret giving her a chance in The Producers. From a strictly Kdrama-NO-Kpop fanatic for years now, I only regret I have discovered the artist/musician in her only now. I just made myself one of IU's biggest fans in a span of only 2 months, and I am proud and loving every moment of it.
IU vs all kpop girl groups = sorry but IU is incomparable to all! This talented lady will go very far. Farther than her already high level now. Her voice is so soothing it will wash away all your troubles. It's like she knows all your troubles and she's this friend that helps you through it all. Making you feel better about life, about yourself as well. I'm really glad I found out about her back then. Spread the love! Love for music, love for life! After watching her live in concert for the first time ever last December, this became my favourite IU song of all time. I have been a fan for very long now ever since I got introduced into K-pop. This song is just perfect in so many ways that the only other thing more perfect is IU herself.
9살에 엄마가 제 눈 앞에서 돌아가셨어요. 어떻게 자기 배 아파 낳은 그 어린 애 눈을 똑바로 마주치며 죽을 생각을 할 수가 있는지 너무 원망스럽지만, 벌써 9년이 지나 지금 18살이고 이제는 엄마 없이 지낸 시간이 더 많아지겠네요. 그 당시엔 어린 탓에 죽음이 뭔지, 장례가 뭔지 아무것도 몰라서 엄마를 제대로 보내드리지 못한 탓에 아직도 엄마 생각만 하면 참 현실성 없게 느껴지고 맘이 불편하네요. 4년전에 남긴 댓글이지만 아직도 이 노래 들으면서 엄마를 보내는 연습을 하고 있네요. 답글로 위로 건네주신 모든 분께 감사합니다:)

Honestly I adore IU. She's beautiful inside and out and has an amazing voice. My Korea friend once told me that in Korea people think she's ugly and her mom thought so and I couldn't believe it. Sometimes I really don't understand Korean society and their judgmental beauty standards. Not trying to hate cause Korea seems awesome but just their standards kill me.
Not to trying to be rude but I said "people." As in some not everyone you are taking it the wrong way. And I'm sure she is adored. But I don't think my friend lied when she was living in Korea for about 9 years up to 2010 so I'm sure things were different back then. Maybe that's what kids were saying in school idk.

이 노래 벌써 7년 되었네요. 2014년 중반쯤에 아이유 팬클인가?에 팬서비스 보이스플로 직접 기타치면서 부른 라이브를 마디마디 풀어놓은게 최초였던 걸로 기억. 그해 12월에 이 어쿠스틱 버전을 유튜브에 올려놓았어요. 따라서 무릎은 어쿠스틱 버전이 원곡이라고 할 수 있어요

Honestly I adore IU. She's beautiful inside and out and has an amazing voice. My Korea friend once told me that in Korea people think she's ugly and her mom thought so and I couldn't believe it. Sometimes I really don't understand Korean society and their judgmental beauty standards. Not trying to hate cause Korea seems awesome but just their standards kill me.
