Thank you for including the minimum stay requirements. So many overviews like this leave that part out and it's a pretty significant point if you're interested in traveling during retirement.
ALWAYS APPRECIATE YOUR VIDEOS FOR US POTENTIAL EXPATS... ONE CRITIQUE PLEASE SPEND SOME TIME GOING INTO TAXATION FOR THE EXPAT RETIREE FOR THESE COUNTRIES. AT THIS POINT I AM CONSIDERING SOUTHERN SPAIN BECAUSE OF THEIR ONLY 7% TAXATION FOR 10 YEARS AND NO DOUBLE TAXATION AGREEMENT WITH THE US, WHERE I AM FROM. SO, EASE OF ENTRY "AND" AFFORDABILITY ONCE YOU GET THERE ARE BOTH VERY IMPORTANT TO ME AND MY WIFE... THANKS LR ALLEN
Very interesting and useful. I'd be interested in hearing about requirements for Spain and France. We've been to Portugal twice and like it a lot, but the language is very difficult compared to other Romance languages and we are interested in being able to make friends with the nationals of the country we reside in.
you missed Cambodia as an easy residency option - after entering the country on a regular 30 day visa (as a UK citizen) available on line or on arrival, not a tourist visa, if you're 55 or over, one can get a retirement visa extension for one year renewable annually - only requirement was to pay the visa fee and show where I was staying (hotel), no income, health, or background questions -since I didn't decide to stay on and get the one year extension untiI close to the end of my 30 day visa I went through an agent for express service and got the visa next day total cost 360USD - less if you don't want express, but expect to wait 10 business days - 290USD I think, if you want to do it yourself (not recommended unless you have a lot of patience) - all information from last year (2023) - there are other easy Cambodian residency visa options worth checking out.
MEXICO ...... no residency requirements ... income qual. only once... 5 years shift to perminant res.

Glad it was helpful!
Great overview of those countries, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Yes, trying to get retirement visa in Ireland right now.
Retired - very interested in Greece, Indonesia, or the Philippines.

I’m not sure, but I think the requirements for Indonesia is out of date.
I'm very interested in this video. However, the most annoying, redundant background music is driving me crazy.
