minor setback, shit happens took a loss today as well, gotta wipe the brain clean and get it ready for tomorrow its a whole nother day with a whole nother outcome
outside of not revenge trading and not over trading; one of the main things i've learned as a new trader is never to fight the trend and to be patient. if my bullish thesis was right and I missed or exited to early then im looking for a pullback to enter into another upside play if anything, but honestly my psychology can get so shaken after a miss that i've learned it's even better to just sit on my hands and wait for the next setup. I think patience is honestly one of the hardest parts of trading. Whether i'm so giddy to get into a play that I jump to early instead of waiting for it to hit a level that I marked out (then it goes to that level and instead of thinking I was right and just early, I start thinking I was wrong and sell out for it to do exactly what I thought) or if its me just being so pressed to make back money I lost that I just trade blindly hoping for a miracle. Patience really pays i've learned.
also been working to adopt the mindset that this is just what I do. Like you mentioned we get so caught up in thinking about how it'll be once we change our lives that we get clouded by the euphoria and make mistakes, but if this is really who I am and what I do then I wouldn't be feeling any of that. I wouldn't be sad when I lose, or happy when I win for that matter really, this is just what I do, like breathing. Gamblers get euphoric when they win, i've noticed great traders are pretty much just stoic about it no matter what happens because this is just a part of who they are, and I think we can benefit from the same mindset. Why are you risking so much ? U don’t have 150k you only have 4500 this is not forex u can’t risk 1% of your account and this is not a personal account you should start off only risking 500 then when u get a decent buffer then risk that amount

Do you shave risk off your trades bro? Once my trade has gone up a certain amount I go Breakeven, then I don't care if I get stopped out because at least no damage was done to the account. very good for psychology.

And if this can help anybody, what I normally do is pray first, thank God for the new day and the grace to be on the chart again, then I get some, soft jazz or loft music playing, then I up on the charts 20 min before I trade and just analyze the market. Hope this can help any body. And I don't really care if anyone thinks I am coming here sounding or religious, but I can tell you that the only one keeping me in check and continuously keeps pushing me forward even when the tides are pushing me back is Jesus Christ. Like this industry is a mental game and having Jesus can help you so much, cause you know with him, you will achieve that success, but not only in trading but in your everyday life because he is always with us lifting us up when we fall. So really having a relationship with Jesus is the greatest thing one can have in this life, And then having to live with him in his eternal kingdom, like bro that's where its at. God bless.
