- Ever since Cobb released project green speed it has really made me take some time to rethink how I was going to build my STI this summer. Since I was one of the people who's car was running the Accesport now we are forced to run only parts that don't defeat emission's devices . Well I say screw that i'm going to find some oem parts that eliminate my TGV system. Follow a long to see how this all works out.

Got everything I needed from this vid and more, thank you! Great angles and explanations especially about drilling the holes out! New to your channel but super dope you guys work together. Cheers.
Great Video! Very motivating for myself and a great display of modern hot-rodding!
The question is how do the o ring spacers hold up. That looks like the best option for no intake leaks
I cut a lot more of the mounts off of my intake when I did this to mine and polished it up.
this intake manifold is from which model?
The intake I am using came off a 2011 Forester. No special model of forester most of them have this same one. (2008-2011)
Dose any one know if long runner fix a Jdm ej20x
Thanks for the vid man am
Planning on doing the same thing
Why the spacers tho
I have the same manifold going on my SG5 i just shaved all the shit out even the evap crap only kept the bolt holes like you
Pretty cool. I have a question I hope anyone can answer this. What's the main benefit of using an N/A intake manifold ? and which model did you use. I have seen some people using them
The main benefit that I found with using this long runner is that i was able to delete my tgvs. The Long narrow runners should move my torque curve lower in the rev range which will aid in turbo spool. There are tons of variables that will effect the way it performs and behaves but if you consider what TGV deletes use to cost i think this OEM piece is a great solution. Not to mention the long runners look so much better 😃 No special model just a 2011 forester.
Torque and better overall average power
With this type of intake man, would you need to go front mount intercooler?
Yes you are correct. This intake manifold pushes the throttle body closer to the firewall so you can not use your OEM intercooler as it does not have the room to fit anymore. I am running the Perrin front mount intercooler and I expect that i will have to length or shorten some of my piping to get the right fit. Thanks for the comment hope this helped.
I just picked up a manifold myself, do you know if there is a spacer kit to run the factory hardlines? Was told by my tuner the factory fuel lines/fpr on my 12 WRX can hold over 4XXwhp. If I can just use them I’d like to instead of using new rails/lines/fpr
I am not sure of a spacer kit on the market that allows you to use the oem fuel lines. I also haven't done much research on the topic because I planned to use aftermarket fuel system parts.
@@stupidsubies2738 thank you for the tip!
Will this fit the same on my 09 Wrx what will I have to do to get it to fit as I have the runner as well
Since everyones setup is different it's hard for me to tell you what steps to take but i will say it was a ton of work to get it to fit and you will have to address things like the fuel system the cooling sytem as well as what intercooler your going to run. I wish you all the best they do look amazing when on.
what car did that intake manifold come off of
What car did you get the manifold from?
2011 Subaru Forester
@@stupidsubies2738 thanks. 💪🏻💪🏻
@@stupidsubies2738 do you know if they fit a jdm ej20x which that was the Ej255 in Japan
lots of work to fit that manifold, but worth it in the end if you're going FMIC. I'm about 2 weeks behind you on my 09 FXT daily project. Thanks for the videos they are keeping me motivated
Thanks man would love to see the build when you get it up and running. Glad to hear the videos are keeping you going.
Hey man, I'm also a small subie youtuber here in CO. Where are you out of? I'm also about to be doing a long runner set up off an 08 na foz on my next build so that's how I found you. Just looking for a good write up on what I need to do to make it work. Would be cool to network and bounce ideas. Hit me up if you're interested! Curious if those spacers are NEEDED cause last long runner buuild I worked on didn't have them and he was pushing close to 800 horse.
