In her defense, people have died from tar and feather due to the shock of the scalding hot tar being poured onto their body, whips and chains can't really kill anybody lest the conditions demand it (like a spiked whip or something).
People have died from lashing if you go long enough, the exhaustion, shock, and stress can cause a heart attack in any age of the person involved.
in theory you could bleed out if the whip slashes a couple of arteries somewhere
@@KChow-nb1pz well i was thinking of a more immediate reaction, normally it wouldnt take long for the tar to kill someone, it was highly likely that it did, but whips werent meant to be used to kill a person, though they can, its unlikely unless theyre actually trying to kill the victim
let me rephrase that, it wouldnt take long IF it did kill them (apparently it was rarely fatal but there have been more than enough cases), but i believe people havent actually died from being whipped a few times. like unknown said, long enough lashing has killed but its far easier to die to tar and feather, and far less controllable

As a Ranma 1/2 fan, I have questions that I probably don't actually want the answers to.

@@fabi3790 Ranma 1/2 is a manga made by Rumiko Takahashi, who also made InuYasha and MANY other manga. In the story Ranma Saotome and his father went to a remote area in China to train their martial arts, and came upon the cursed water pools, where lots of animals drowned. If someone is to get inside one of those pools they are cursed to transform into the animal that drowned in it when they come into contact with cold water, while hot water turns them back into humans. Ranma's father for example fell into the panda pool, so turns into one. Ranma was more lucky, in a sense, since he fell into the human girl pool, so he gets genderbent.
The more the story goes, the more you see other characters afflicted with the same curse. One of them, Ryoga Hibiki, who's Ranma's most common rival, gets cursed within the pig pool. But it's not a huge pig, more like a cute piglet. Ranma's fiancé to be adopts Ryoga in his pig form as a pet, unkown to her that it's actualy him, and names him P-chan, with the P most likely used as a shortcut for pig.
Ranma 1/2 is somewhat an old manga, considering the original publication ran from August 19, 1987 to March 6, 1996. But if you want a pretty funny story to read go for it! I'm sure it's still possible to find it on the internet. There was also an anime and several movies too.
