I like the part when Squirtle and a horse are hooking up

I cried through this entire thing, for four or five different reasons. This video resonated with my soul. I don't know how else to tell you what it did to me
Thank you so much.
As a less social guy, I've had my fair share of long distance relationships. This speaks to me on a personal level. Talking to her every night, playing games with her, watching movies with her, telling her how much I loved her... and yet I never even really knew her, I just knew what she wanted to show me.
Those things usually never last, and it didn't in my case, but it feels so real for a time, before the distance becomes less of a hill and more of a wall, eventually stopping things altogether. I'll never forget you Victoria, but I'm glad we moved on all those years ago.
This is really good. It perfectly describes this new time where you can talk to anyone without even seeing their face, eyes, their expressions... Nowadays people, with all this technology, feel lonelier than ever. Chatting online is great and all, but nothing really beats the warmth of another human being.
Hi Sean, I must say that I've been following your work for a while and you're a great inspiration to me. Your movies are the ones that I wish I could make, but I cannot. I love how fresh your ideas are and how they're rooted within the reality, yet it somehow feels surreal. I've wanted to give you my most sincere compliment, so here it is.
I hope I see more new works from you soon.
Wow, thank you so much that is the nicest comment I've ever received! but don't say you can't, I think it's just letting bits of your own life and personal experience enter into your work (which can be hard, especially with animation, which is like working in slow motion). Thanks again for the comment, made my day :)
This was easily my favorite shorts that played at Ottawa International. I don't often say this, but it's one of the few things that I feel truly speaks to someone who came of age in the internet era. Every detail of it is something I've experienced.
Thank you for making this.
Hey, Sean! Came here from reddit. I can't believe this only has several thousand views. This is really incredible!
Same here, was honestly impressed.
This is absolutely stunning. That’s all I can really manage to say besides this needs *so* much more recognition. Wonderful job.
thanks so much for watching :)
I saw this at rooftop films in NYC the other day and I was very moved and heard a lot of tears and sniffles in the audience. Bravo
Bopped my nostalgia right on the nose.
Yes, it's finally up! I fell in love with this when I saw Strangers, and was sad when I couldn't find it anywhere. It's so beautiful, and a really cool concept. I can't imagine how much time and effort had to go into making it.
Thanks Evan! I really appreciate the comment. If you're really curious about production stuff, I wrote a big making of blog post that goes into all of it over here - medium.com/@SeanBuckelew/lovestreams-making-of-48c7d0a3d81c
Just...Amazing
I saw this yesterday at the Late Night Works screening in NYC (I was the girl with the glasses that asked if this story was personal) and I absolutely fell in love with this. Besides the AMAZING storyline, some of little details really make this such a great film. For example, the two anime - like characters that CherryPie79 and SumrEvryDay turn into are the same characters on poster seen on the wall in the very beginning. And then the fireworks that's on the background of CherryPie79's computer tie into the fireworks in her dream world. Plus the part where SumrEvryDay's 'face" turned back into an emoticon and the fireworks turned into the still computer images thus making CherryPie79 realize that the digital escape they're both in is only that. And I think the faces changing into other characters represent the anonymity of their sorta online relationship. This was my favorite film of the night! So beautiful, 10/10 😁👍
Holy shit, this is outstanding!
Where are the views?
thank you thank you! haha tell your friends!
SeanBuckelew Already did that! ;)
DrApfelwurst on that new cash me ouside girl's video, who gives a fuck about talent and hardwork anyway
That ending piece really stuck with me. "You're not alone"... Wow. Thank you very much!
This is stunning. I don't think I can recall a single other youtube video that brought me to tears. Your hard work did not go unnoticed, thank you for this, truly magical
This is exactly how it was and felt! Early 00's was a much more romantic place, especially on the internet.
Heh... This looks like what VRChat would have looked in the Y2K era and it looks lovely
How did I miss this one? Great work
So pure and so sad.. that the advanced means of communication which suppose to be bringing people together, actually make them as distant and remote as galaxies, by substituting the real life for an idea about real life.. A very true art, this.
Actually made me cry... Beautiful stuff.
This is the best thing I have seen all day
a toast to the husky bartender!
Actually I cried
This video is ahead of its time. God bless you bro.
This was really great. I'm glad I stumbled upon this, but at 7:41 when the emoji face changed to the surprised face, I laughed pretty good. Nice touch.
A beautiful ode to connection in the digital age
I really adore this short. I'm so glad I found out about you through drone short. Astonishing work! Can't wait for more of yours!
i'm here because E3 ! thanks this video is a master piece !
How can this been not been an million views
Great question! To quote Captain Planet: "The power is YOURS!"
@@SeanBuckelew maybe try to post it on social media when something is getting popular in the internet or when the timing is right
SEARCHING DATABASE . . .
Yeah, I took the time to actually write the link... At least it wasn't a rickroll, can you imagine?
Fuck. Excuse me? Who gave you the right to make something this good? Ugh. This is the one of the most phenomenal shorts I've seen in years. I am astonished.
That virtual world, early Second Life vibes.
i cant stop crying. relatable
This is really beautiful and sad at the same time. Thanks for making this.
Been there before. But they all ended up friends and something was learned from each.
Imagine being the guy that made this video and seeing all of the attention it is now receiving.
On a serious note this is absolutely beautiful, the attention is very well deserved
hey thanks for watching the video! this is all very unexpected, but very much appreciated!
Wow.
Wow, it's like you personally lived my teenage years....
I found this video on Reddit but I'm here to collect my royalties because this is obviously inspired by my 14 year old self
Hey Sean im from reddit, this is video is a hidden gem don't stop making videos mate, you have earned yourself a new fan.
Outstanding stuff Sean! My favorite from Strangers. You really brought a true insight into the themes here. Think my friend deleted FaceBook when we saw this. You've having an effect on people!
Amazing!
unbelievable quality! great art. really emotional
...
wow this is a true work of art.
I came from the E3
My twenteens was in that period. And yes internet was something... unique. Far way from what is now.
By the way, I guess CherryPie79 must have 38 years by now and happily married to SumrEvryDay
More people need to see this
Great stuff.
Love this, great work :-)
This is INSANE. I can't believe it has this low amount of views. It's very well made. Wow
Thank you
7:00 reminds me of something out of a horror film lol
when i first saw this i thought it was beautiful. now i just imagine a bunch of tiny fat knuckleses bothering people and asking them if they know de wey
I love this E3
Ive seen this on Newgrounds and decided to check you out on here to lookout out for more short films like this awesome one! Keep up the good work👍
Really Really good work my dude! Keep it up Sean!
Fuck. Ouch. Fell in love by accident on the internet twice. First time lasted three years. The last one lasted 11...12? A long time. I didn't get to spend more than three months of that with them in person. It tore us to shreds.
This hurt.
Reddit sent me here. shed a tear watching your animation. good stuff
AIM! If anyone still remembers that…crazy to find out it ran until Dec 2017, now Wildman Productions picked it up calling it AIM Phoenix
absolute banger
Am I the only one seeing the Balamb Garden Ball scene from FF8?
god damn
I kind of had a dejavu from the final fantasy 8 graduation dance part here...
Super awesome work!
Here before you eventually blow up [:
How come this is barely seen
Great question!
The animation style somewhat reminds me of Scavengers Reign
A single 9 minute short has more heart than most multi million dollar movies trying to show the same thing. Sad.
searching database
This is some good shit ☺️☹️
