The economy is stronger now than when Trump left office. So stop lying. Democrats systematically have better economic numbers than Republicans throughout history.
Marriott is probably the worst nickel and dime a person hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Unless you are a top tiered guest (black card), you are 💩 to them. It is a very have and have not chain in how they respond to guests. Hilton does a much better job at treating guests more equally. I cannot comment on either chain in how they treat employees.
“What is the message you want to get across to these quite powerful and profitable companies who are reaping record profits these days?” Nobody even tries to sound objective anymore, do they? And put on a tie, this isnt cocktails after work. 😏
The problem with the hotel business for unions is that it is very competitive. What that means is that if a union gives a hotel a competitive disadvantage, it will go out of business and competitors without that disadvantage will take its place. Unions work best with a monopoly or oligopoly where the companies can raise prices without much fear of going out of business.
Yes hotels are under staffed yet over priced. It called corporate greed. Record profits.
Hotel prices are out of control. I was trying to get a 2 night stay in Lexington, KY and it was going to cost $500. In Lexington, KY?!?!?

Hotel prices are crazy and these guys/girls work hard for very little pay - time to pay a fair wage Corporate America

Liers Hilton. Were not on strike if they negotiate in Good Faith.
Hilton - Hospitality, USA
From $380.00 a night for a standard room at the Moana surf rider there might be some sympathy for the workers.
