The written instructions were a little confusing, but your video guide is excellent. The metal template makes installation much easier. Awesome product.
The printed instructions were very unclear for me, and nothing mentions if there are different requirements for left or right hand operation. The cabinet I'm installing in is opposite the instructions and I was straight up not having a good time. This video saved my sanity.
The is a manual and a cardboard template that apparently replaced the installation gauge in 2021. The template is first but it combines instructions for all the variations; left or right blind corner, face frame or frameless, etc. and is cryptic. Tips: one side of the template is for Right blind corner and the flip side is for Left (marked "R" or "L"). Completely ignore the side that doesn't apply. Then Step 1 is tape over the cut-outs where indicated so it will stick in place while you're making markings . Step 2 is determine which letter-coded instructions (A, B or C) to follow thru Steps 3-6 (you don't physically do anything). This is based your cabinet type and version of Lemans II (40, 50, etc.). These steps don't relate to the numbered steps in the manual. There are eight flathead screws; those go the plate that is mounted on the cabinet sidewall. The panhead screws (7) go on the mounting brackets (2) for the pole.
The Lemans is not continuously adjustable, but you can adjust the trays up to the next position per the installation instructions. If you’d like us to email these to you, please send us note at marketing@hafele.us and we’ll email them to you.
Mine didn’t come with the installation gauge which would have saved me from a lot of headaches, and it didn’t come with a soft close mechanism, why is that? Also, the pole has a tightening mechanism on top that I can’t seem to Get off, and the pole has an Even smaller pole inside that doesn’t seem to have any purpose. The manual gave no explanation of this, and neither did this video

Is there an easy way to remove the shelves? I need to take them out so I can reach the far corner of the cabinet where we have a water pipe. I tried to lift the shelves up, but only the front part came off. Thank you for your advice. :)
Yes, the shelves can be removed, simply fully extend the unit and pull them straight upwards, it may take a bit of gentle coaxing, they have this for lack of a better word “clip” on them that will take some pressure to disengage.
Thanks for your question. In order for the hardware to properly work, the LeMans would typically need to be installed in a completely open area so the arm holding the shelves can fully and completely articulate.
Instructions are incomplete but better than the written ones that come with the product. You should warn people the height of the shelves could interfere with the hinges. How to change the height of the trays would have been very helpful before I had to try to disassemble the trays while in the cabinet.
Yes, the installation gauge does come in the box with the unit. We have diagrams and specific measurement details listed in our catalog to assist you in ordering the correct unit. You can also contact our Project Services team who can help you select the correct unit for your project. The number is 800-423-3531. can this system be used in a blind corner cabinet that has a face frame and drawer/door combo? its an 18 inch drawer and door. door opening of 15" W x 20.5" H
Yes! This system can be used in full height door and door/drawer applications. Haefele, I'd suggest you have someone with technical writing experience watch this video then walk through your written mounting manual and remedy the discrepancies. Your written instructions are in a different order and the video doesn't account for the differences when installing the 40er model which are explained in a subpar fashion in the manual.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. While this video is meant to complement the manufacturer's installation instructions, we're actively reviewing all the content we have on our channel and will make additions/changes as that process evolves.

Is there any way to raise the height of the bottom shelf (about 4mm) after installation as mine rubs on the top of the door hinge. Thank you.

The tightening mechanism on the pole makes it so that I can’t insert the pole where it needs to be..

Would you be able to email us at marketing@hafele.us? We have some updates for you, but also may need to clarify a few things. Thank you!

@@hafeleamerica Thanks! I was finally able to remove the shelves. :)
My middle shelf is a fixed shelf so I cannot remove it, is the top shelf height adjustable so I can make sure it will clear that shelf?

So, does the installation gadget come with it?
I'm trying to buy one of these units
But I have no idea which one to buy?

Doesn’t come with a gauge. What good is this?!?!
This video may be a bit out of date. A paper template does come with the product now which certainly aids in product installation.
@@hafeleamerica well I find it odd that such a fantastic product comes with such completely useless picture instructions
What size vix bit? Thx.
Thanks for your inquiry. The install uses both #8 x 5/8” and #10 x 3/4” screws.
Would have been nice to see it operate. Actually moving and not a still photo.
These are better than the Rev-a-Shelf copies.
👍
