I found a Treasure Patch | Metal Detecting Beach | Day #5

I found a treasure patch at San Clemente Beach, the previous currents have shifted again causing the formation of the normal beach structure. As the beach returns to normal it provided plenty of areas of debris patches. After finding the treasure patch, I found a gold ring, a few silver coins, a silver sand dollar pendent and a lot of coins.We chased the current along the shoreline and found an area that was in the process of being pushed back in, the wave kept pushing new targets with every large splash.

That was a great hunt! Trying to get there as soon as I can. Dropped my pinpointer the other day and waiting for the new one to arrive. I know I don't need it at the beach, but you're mobile, receiving a shipment is a problem. Did have a little luck today. Found an antique silver bracelet and I'm sure it weighs over an ounce. Don't strip the beach clean before I can get there.

Hey bud,
I know it wasn’t your best find but I always like the older coins like the 1944 dime or the 1928 penny.
The thing that makes it more interesting when you find them is they’re found on a beach and given the amount of people that probably detect there, I would think that it would make it more difficult to find older coins.

I know exactly what you mean, I recently found a walking liberty, then a platinum ring followed by a gold ring and the walking liberty was more meaningful to me. So rare for a beach find, even though as a young teen I found a lot of silver on the beaches and now it is extremely rare. Thank You 👍
