Also even if you managed to get enough grip under the pedals that they wouldn't get pushed away your chair would just move back instead. Feels like they put it in to make it so that people removed it and voided their warranty
@@wall7103 happy for you.... but still different size , you can thread the hex screw/bolt using the wrong type (imperial vs metric ) trust me i use them every day at work and it matters when your doing things up tight ....but be a dick ...enjoy

There is no requirement to remove the black screws like on the video. These hold the pedals in place and if you want them all to fall all over the place then follow the video. Remove the silver screws and the pedal covers then just the black screws for the brake pedal then crack on.

For anyone watching this, you only really need to take off the brake pedal from the top and just take out the spring and the rubber and just put the spring back, it's a bit fiddly but much better than OPENING UP THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY. There's like a 3 minute video about it by some British guy, yes he did the whole thing in a couple of minutes

Great idea, doesn't work. Not for me anyway, but i definitely suggest people try calibrating and fiddling with settings before moving on to the videos method. Using both the driver tool for this wheel and maxing out sensitivity and deadzones in the several games i tested, i still couldnt reach 100% breaking power because the button simply couldn't press down fully, atleast not without pushing a hole through the floor.
@@mxnuuel4008 Kind of an old post, but maybe others can benefit as well. Go to "Game Controllers" menu in windows. Type it in the search bar. When that comes up go to your g920 properties, then settings and calibrate it. Then it will work without having to mess with in game settings. The break spring is stronger than the clutch or gas pedals so it's not like it bottoms out anyways. I haven't tried it out yet but I'm about to, and I can already tell by pressing the brakes they are MUCH much lighter yet still have a little bit more resistance than the clutch. Yes it still has resistance I used to own the g27 and those pedals were fine Logitech put that rubber piece there for “realistic” feel but it just feels like you can’t brake all the way. After removing the stopper if you put the spring back right it feels good and you can brake 100% without putting your foot through the floor. Or even cutting the rubber block down would help
When I first tried it I literally binded my clutch as a brake because the brake petal was so stiff. And my desk has a lip on the edge where the wheel clips on and when I would push the brake I would literally pull the wheel off aswell but I’ve just taken the thing out super simple super easy thank you works perfectly now
I don't get why the stopper is even there, I was testing it on GT sport where you can't change the settings like you can on PC and the stopper was at 60-65% brake pressure before you have to seriously mash down on the brakes to get to 100%. If they were going it use a stopper it should have been a lot smaller.
Thanks for the video. I needed that tip on unloading the pin by pulling back the spring. Mine is fixed. The brake pedal still feels more resistance than the accelerator; which feels just right to me. Thanks again.

Good vid. The rubber itself isn't bad but when you race with just a desk chair you either go backwards whenever you brake or almost take the wheel off. You lose a bit of precision in braking but that's ok for now.
Just for future people doing this, the black screws you can leave. Maybe take the middle 4 screws out if you need to take the brake pedal right out but the other 8 you can leave. Will just save you time unscrewing those you don’t need to.

How do they know to void your warranty? Couldn’t you just take it apart and put the piece of rubber back in if it breaks or are there warranty void stickers somewhere?

Yeah it's good but it registers that I'm touching the brake when I'm not And it's 0.4% of braking but in fh4 that doesn't matter but fh3 it almost stops it

Dudes fingers look like they're about to snap as the rubber barely compresses. "It's fairly squishy rubber.." I am so baffled as to why Logitech did this?
The rubber in my break pedal is so hard it isn't even possible to push it down closely to what you are supposed to. The games don't even receive an input, it's that bad.
What you can do is as add your own rubber, literally a piece of rubber that you would use to rub out stencil. Put it next to the original black piece of rubber and trim it accordingly.

You don't need to remove the black screws. It's half the job and on top it's easier... Also use half the size of the original rubber piece of a school rubber, only the spring is way to soft....

Is there a way that I can use the clutch instead of the brake? I usually just go into the settings and change the brake deadzone, but assetto corsa doesn't have that. I don't really want to risk it and modify my brake pedal. Is there any way I can do this on a Xbox one, like is there any settings or a g hub or something like that?
its a mystery to why they put the rubber block inside and there is a simpler way to get it!!! also the brake spring seems to be more stiff as is and the gas spring is easy tension!! i need to find the springs with even tension as the clutch!! i use allen wrenches and a flat head screwdriver without removing the bottom!!
@@josephstalin1223 As long as you're careful you shouldn't break any cables, but it would probably be hard to in the first place. It's really easy and I would say the input actually improved overall. No issues since then.

Can anyone help?? My son did this to his brake pedal and now when playing Forza Horizon games his brake is on slightly and can’t get it to fully disengage. Says 1.6% braking on at all times. Any ideas what he has done?
@@belindaschultz3226 In Forza Horizon, go to "settings" > "controls" > "advanced controls", increase "deceleration axis deadzone inside" and decrease "deceleration axis deadzone outside". Go back to the car and activate "telemetry" (in FH3 is d-pad up). Check if the brake is ghost braking. If yes, increase the settings.
I wouldn't recommend this for anything other than F1 2017. In games like Project Cars 2, it gives you A LOT less feeling and a lot less control. I've had my rubber out for a couple of months and I've only clicked on this tutorial as a refresher of how to get it back in.
I definitely regret doing it because I threw out the black rubber... and I feel like I'm pressing down on the brakes too hard in Project Cars 2 and Forza Motorsport 7. Not sure what to do now
You've probably figured this out by now, but you could drop it in place with a magnet or something. In my case, the screwdriver I used was already magnetic 👍

I took out bump stop on brake, cut in half and put back in, swap clutch spring for accelerator spring, alot better

you dont need to take it apart from underneath. the pedals on the side hhave an allan key screw x2 you can take off and get to the rubber

Calibrate the pedal, that's all you have to do. Oh, and yes they programmed a steeper curve in the software to compensate for the rubber.

@@ALLVARLiGT in Asseto Corsa settings for Xbox One you can not calibrate brake.. So this is the best solution.

great video but i did find that you don't actually have to remove the peddle, you can easily remove the rubber bit white the peddle is still on there!

Just for future people doing this, the black screws you can leave. Maybe take the middle 4 screws out if you need to take the brake pedal right out but the other 8 you can leave. Will just save you time unscrewing those you don’t need to.

This rubber should simulate racing hydraulic brakes which first touch disks and then it breaks but for just driving its most annoying

Breaking the pedals is really hard to do. Just follow the video and you will easily fix your problem.

You just have to adjust the deadzone of the brake. The game thinks it's been pressed but it is not.

LATE UPDATE: i know im not the first but you can experiment with other materials instead of the rubber, i see erasers, sponges, even paper towels.
you dont have to do all that... just one screw on the pedal and you can take the rubber out...

What is the resistance like after you take the rubber stopper out? Is it like the clutch, or still harder?

You've probably figured this out by now, but you could drop it in place with a magnet or something. In my case, the screwdriver I used was already magnetic 👍

I just purchased a 920. I guess I am the only one that thinks the brake is great just the way it is.
Bruh yesterday I tried to do this but I had no wrench to undo it, I wasted that much time just doing that, an hr or something like that wasted
