    It wasn't very soft and squishy rubber in my brake pedal. It was so bad that I really had to adjust how I drove to compensate for the real lack of an actual brake pedal that I had. I was actually pushing the pedals away from me trying to stomp on it, it made driving less fun.

    • @zyeehaw9018
      @zyeehaw9018 2 роки тому +4

      yeah mine was basically solid plastic, after some brake distance testing it was about 25-30% of the actual potential braking power

    • @andreasthiemke9520
      @andreasthiemke9520 11 місяців тому

      Also even if you managed to get enough grip under the pedals that they wouldn't get pushed away your chair would just move back instead.
      Feels like they put it in to make it so that people removed it and voided their warranty

    There is no requirement to remove the black screws like on the video. These hold the pedals in place and if you want them all to fall all over the place then follow the video. Remove the silver screws and the pedal covers then just the black screws for the brake pedal then crack on.

      Great idea, doesn't work. Not for me anyway, but i definitely suggest people try calibrating and fiddling with settings before moving on to the videos method.
      Using both the driver tool for this wheel and maxing out sensitivity and deadzones in the several games i tested, i still couldnt reach 100% breaking power because the button simply couldn't press down fully, atleast not without pushing a hole through the floor.

      @@mxnuuel4008 Kind of an old post, but maybe others can benefit as well. Go to "Game Controllers" menu in windows. Type it in the search bar. When that comes up go to your g920 properties, then settings and calibrate it. Then it will work without having to mess with in game settings. Or go watch this video if you need more assistance. ua-cam.com/video/MG3P76NhAxk/v-deo.html
      I did this at first but just ended up taking the rubber piece out and recalibrating it. The break spring is stronger than the clutch or gas pedals so it's not like it bottoms out anyways. I feel like the idea to put a rubber stop in there somehow went through at the last minute without proper testing.

      Yes it still has resistance I used to own the g27 and those pedals were fine Logitech put that rubber piece there for “realistic” feel but it just feels like you can’t brake all the way. • @Delimon007

    I don't get why the stopper is even there, I was testing it on GT sport where you can't change the settings like you can on PC and the stopper was at 60-65% brake pressure before you have to seriously mash down on the brakes to get to 100%. If they were going it use a stopper it should have been a lot smaller.

      Like, does it recognize input from the brake petal? I want to make sure that I don't damage anything vital by doing this.

      @@josephstalin1223 As long as you're careful you shouldn't break any cables, but it would probably be hard to in the first place. It's really easy and I would say the input actually improved overall. No issues since then.

    The rubber in my pedal is literally unpressable. I can put all my force on it and I can't make it reach the bottom/press is 100%. It was a unit that was on sale, it can't be normal that it is this stiff

    Can anyone help?? My son did this to his brake pedal and now when playing Forza Horizon games his brake is on slightly and can’t get it to fully disengage. Says 1.6% braking on at all times. Any ideas what he has done?

    • @marciof80
      @marciof80 2 роки тому +1

      You just have to adjust the deadzone of the brake. The game thinks it's been pressed but it is not.

    • @belindaschultz3226
      @belindaschultz3226 2 роки тому

      @@marciof80 thank you and how do I do this? Game settings? I’ve looked and can’t seem to find.

    • @marciof80
      @marciof80 2 роки тому

      @@belindaschultz3226 In Forza Horizon, go to "settings" > "controls" > "advanced controls", increase "deceleration axis deadzone inside" and decrease "deceleration axis deadzone outside". Go back to the car and activate "telemetry" (in FH3 is d-pad up). Check if the brake is ghost braking. If yes, increase the settings.

    I wouldn't recommend this for anything other than F1 2017. In games like Project Cars 2, it gives you A LOT less feeling and a lot less control. I've had my rubber out for a couple of months and I've only clicked on this tutorial as a refresher of how to get it back in.

      I did the exact opposite, I took it out FOR project cars 2. Make sure you calibrate the brake in-game again.
