I think Ranawaka is a visionary leader. He could really lead our country in a better direction. He had performed whatever task given to him as a Minister. All 4 yrs children have to maintain their grade point average maximum. High schools are free. High Schools are funded by people's taxes. Not the universities. anyone has descent grades and SAT scores can enter the universities by paying. But now it's a big competition, though you have money it's difficult to enter the universities in the USA. Everyone in the USA have to treat in the hospitals. Millons of people don't have health insurance. President Obama's time he made it mandatory that everyone have to have insurance or it's a plenty. That type of private insurance ( not from work places) depends on your income. So they changed high income people lot and low income people less. But the Dr's and hospital are the same for everyone. Before President Obama,there were places for poor to get medicine. Hospital 's have plans to pay the bills People who did not have insurance. Sri Lanka cannot do this because even Rich don't pay taxes. Even some politicians don't even pay water and electricity bills. USA everyone who has work permit have to file taxes. If not it's a penelty. They get caught because of private sector have to inform the employees. Even independent contractors get caught because it's checks and Balances there. Sri Lanka have to have a system that everyone pay from the checking account. 1980 teachers salaries were paid by cash in Sri Lanka. I don't know how they do it now. Few times my mom's pay came delayed and she asked why from the principal. Bank mangers did one day lones to some business and earned extra cash for them. It was net work. Mother was ready to expose because there were poor teachers waiting for that salary to pay tuition for their children. Principal stoped her because she might get killed. That principal was a very good one who improved that school. Nothing can be changed until every one in the country is honest.
