@Joseph Maverick I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
I loved this sequence of missions in the jungles. I love the more urbanized Hitman settings but I wish they would visit something like this again where he’s doing a more military like assignment with camouflage.
Uuuuhm it sparked a franchise back in the early 2000s that still has sequels being produced to this day 20 years later. How in the fuck is that underrated? It's like saying the first COD is underrated because people only play the latest one today... Hitman is one of the most appreciated and successful franchises out there, with a solid and loyal fanbase at that.
@@Gonken88 they are not wrong though. Call of duty really began to be mainstream when COD4 rolled. (some may say Mw2 but imo COD4 is what really pushed the franchise to the level of popularity it is today) Most people i know never played The original call of duty let alone 2 and 3.
@@StarXsu90 "They" only said that Hitman is underrated, which is wrong. It was I who made a comparison to CoD, it could have been any successful franchise. And the fact that your buddies still had their asses wiped by their moms at the time the original CoD released doesn't mean people didn't play the shit out of that and its sequels. MW didn't make CoD "mainstream", it was rather the game that broke the franchise and turned into cash n' carry. But you obviously just argue based on your personal opinion, so wtf.
I was very young when i played this game and confronting and trying to kill the druglord with him interrupting you between headshots to taunt you with bullet marks on his face was a bit unsettling.
The first four games are a classic - no substitute! ^_^ Contracts is my favorite theme - the darkness/grim atmosphere, the UI/HUD is awesome, the weapons (especially the dual-weild emphasis), the soundtrack(s) is absolutely legendary - lets not forget Jesper Kyd too. ;)
@@Raffney The new trilogy is great on its own, great storyline and probably the most refined stealth mechanics the franchise has ever seen. What it lacks is atmosphere, compared to the old quadrilogy (HC47 to BM) It somewhat lacks the dark "Hitman" vibe to it, it is more like a generic spy thriller in its atmosphere: the super vividly colored environment, the spy music, the "always righteous" nature of the ICA contracts given to 47, and the annoying immersion breaking way ALL the NPCs around the world speak English in American/British accent. They tried to bring in the dark vibes in H3 2021 but it was too late since the core premise had already been established.
All time favourite of mine! I remember how unique and enjoyable my gameplay was back then when I heard it the very first time! Nothing can take away that feeling, nothing can reproduce that, just imitate!
@@600795621 It's not a bad game, but it's definitely shown its age compared to Hitman 2 through 4. It can be quite clunky control-wise at times, and levels can be too overlong like the Jungle section.

Oh, this theme, l love it, especially the part 3:10 where only one instrument plays the theme. l love how it fades and puts closure to it, like putting a signature or someone saying 'farewell' or saying a line that you will never forget. You will always remember that moment. l do believe jungle missions are possible in Hitman, they have to be, however, designed properly and around the gameplay. It's a nice change of pace, that's for sure.
For some reason, from the very first time I've played it, this mission has reminded me of the film Emerald Forest. I still have no idea why... Were there drug dealers in that movie? Paramilitaries? Fuck, I guess I'll just have to watch it again.
Indeed, "Japanese Mansion". I never noticed. It's subtle (more so than in Blood Money's "Apocalypse" which literally reuses a melody from the Amok soundtrack) but it's definitely there. I wonder if it was intentional.
I shouldn't be listening to these. More I listen to Hitman OST more angrier I get knowing Jesper Kyd isn't composing Hitman:Absolution soundtrack... Honestly, Jesper Kyd is like Mozart & Beethoven combined.

Jesper kyds music was always so atmospheric. I love it...

:D hahahahahaha good one!

The jungle levels should have been included in hitman contracts
I agree. They could’ve really done a lot with them.
With how we got missions based on the other four, it felt like such a waste to not have the jungle levels.

So why he didn't come back in Hitman 6?:)
