Awesome video! I'm actually finishing up the final touches on my Matrix Pro video. I agree with a lot of your points on how great the chassis is, but I'm actually on the other side of the fence with the wide forend. I find myself burning time on the clock trying to level the thing but I shoot a good bit at the Giessele "WAR rifles" matches and the terrain/props aren't close to level. If it had the OG Matrix forend, I'd like it alot better. MPA should option it with either forend.
I have an original JAE that I could review and then point out differences. They're mostly minor. Honestly I don't really want to spend $2k on a g4 when the original is so close.
@MMexico yea I mean I used mine for PRS years ago. In my ZCO TT video there's some footage. It just isn't great for that anymore because of the design. I too love the look and why I never sold mine. There are some accessories on the way that hopefully will help modernize it a little for PRS.
hey man running a magpul pro 700 atm with my terminus. (pretty underrated chassis imo especially on sale). I am looking for an upgrade though, matrix pro vs jae g4. Here in Australia they are exactly the same price. I'm a thin build so lugging around a heavy ass rifle isnt that appealing to me. I want something that will balance with my m24 contour barrels and no added weight (if thats even possible). Any other chassis recommendations that might achieve this? XLR envy? Cheers
yea so i have a JAE here as well. with an m24 the JAE will balance better, but theres a few things im not a huge fan of for PRS matches. You could look at the MPA BA comp chassis, the XLR envy, or the KRG W3. Those should be able to get you going with balance with an m24 and little to no weights.
How important is adjusting the mag well height? I just got an MPA PMR Pro in the ESR chassis. In the current setting i notice the bolt does rub a little against the lips (hope that’s the correct term) of the mag. Is it okay to leave as is or should I adjust until this contact no longer occurs?
if the rifle feeds then it's not really a huge issue. Mag latch height adjustment is for when the rifle doesn’t feed properly. You could try lowering it so itll feed maybe a little smoother without any kind of rubbing on the mag, but other than that you'll be fine.
@Covertnoob5 just giving you a hard time for being creative. I'll take the matrix theme any day over THLR adds lol. Keep it up! You're making great gear content! ua-cam.com/video/961eyQqusQ0/v-deo.html This dude is a legend, though.
@@Covertnoob5 I was just messin with bc the Matrix thing. Great review. Have you ever done an XLR Envy review? Personally they are my favorite, Id like to see what you think compared to MDT, MPA, etc.
@@KevinWood44 haha no worries man. I can roll with the punches good as anyone. I haven’t had a chance to look at the envy yet. I’d love too, but have a few other projects on the table at the moment.

you can actually buy a matrix gen 1 and then buy the pro rear and bolt them together.
Great review, I really like the adjustable bag rider feature.
really looking forward to you reviewing that march, i do wish it had the shuriken turrets though.
Same. Unfortunately not available in the 5-42 at this time.
Hopefully the $1000 off discount for the AT-X is still available when your review video comes out. I am on the fence about it…
Is this still the chassis you're currently running?
I do sometimes use the Matrix Pro 2. But also use the KRG C4 and Zermatt Matterhorn.
Look forward to your ZCO 840 review. 👍🏼
Coming soon!
Any plans to review the JAE G4?

@@Covertnoob5that be awesome. I’m considering getting the Jae for prs shooting. I know it’s not as modular as others but they look so good.

What color is that?
LOP is my only issue, I need a max of 12.5inch . otherwise I would buy this great chassis. Thanks for the in-depth review.
Does the cheek rest interfere with the cleaning rod?
Not really if you lower it all the way.

great review
are your clips from Pala shooting range?
Some are yes
@@Covertnoob5 Nice I wanted to try the prs matches there. I go there monthly to plink steel
It's not that hard for the ambi bolt cut.. it's about money.. more specific more sales better margins

This is getting out of hand. Still not as bad as the latest THLR video.
Not sure I follow?
