It doesn't matter how physically talented Lea is, if she cannot get her emotions and mental state under control she will never truly threaten ALW.
😊😊😊😊😊😊
LOL I guess the announcer's introductory comments that Lea Jansen was an up and coming threat to Anna Leigh Waters just might be considered a little bit of hype.
He said Anna Leigh is in a class by herself but Leah is perhaps the biggest threat to the throne. It sounded more to me like wishful thinking that they might get a competitive match than actual hype.
Lea Jansen only got her previous gold in singles only bc Anna Leigh wasn’t playing in it lmaoo
110% TRUTH!
No paddle tap after the first game 😮 no excuses for sour sportsmanship.
One of the quickest pro games in the history of pickeball. Way to own it Lea Jansen. My rec games takes twice as long, and I win.
Lea was mad before it even started.
Lea at one point retired from singles pickleball - but came back…with a worst attitude.
Oh, thank you for that info. I remember her retiring from singles to only play doubles.
Leah is such a fine sportsman...not!
Being pickled by Anna Leigh is common. But not tapping paddles is cheap.
That’s funny bc alw is an even worst sportsman that Lea don’t remind you of the loss to Tyra black
the gap is just so big. good work alw
Good job Anna Leigh You are a Champ. I like the way you play, hope some time I get to see you play in person, 💝
Lea Jansen is the definition of a poor sport. She hurts the game of pickleball. She needs to go away!
You’re a fan, don’t take it so personally. It’s a shitty thing to say that a pro needs to go away because he or she doesn’t have a positive attitude or displays less than ideal sportsmanship
Totally agree with you. I am not anyone's fan, just like pickleball.
Just curious, how much of an impact can emotions really have? After all, Lea has already made it to the semifinals. I'm also curious about how she managed to defeat others to reach the semifinals.
I think trying to beat Anna Leigh or even compete with her really dysregulates Lea. She focuses too much on how to beat her and not on actually playing her and it throws her game off.
wow no paddle tap at 4:46
Another 0:11😂😂😂
I've gone from not being a fan of ALW (Two years ago she was constantly screaming, "C'mon!" after even a routine winning point. The screaming bugged me.) to being a definite fan. Her work ethic is impressive. She's striving to be even better than she is. Her arsenal of shots keeps growing.
Lea should take the chip off her shoulder.
Way to be the professional that you are AL unlike your opponent! She is so unprofessional I’m surprised she has any fans much less sponsorships!
I like Leah Jansen, she's a competitor. That said, ALW is in a class by herself plus she lives rent -free in LJ's head.
Waters should try to wear a shorter skirt
Wow - poor sport...no paddle tap??
Terrible sportsman ship from Lea but ALW is not either I have seen her act like a spoiled 17 yr old but in all fairness she is only 17 and that is more expected until she matures as a person like her game has already.
With each passing match that I watch of Jansen, I become a bigger anti Jansen fan. This is the second straight highlight that I have watched where she has displayed poor sportsmanship. The no gap between games was poor and the tap after the match was off putting. I now find myself rooting against her in pretty much every match of hers that I watch. I’ve been involved in various youth sports for the better part of 30 years. Sportsmanship is very important to me. I have to wonder if anybody in her camp is actively working on this with her. But at 31 years of age, it’s unlikely she’ll change.
