Fun fact: liquid nitrogen is actually perfectly safe to touch if it is only very briefly. The reason being that the boiling nitrogen creates a protective vapor layer for a moment due to the Leidenfrost effect. I touched some recently in a university physics class, and a dip just kinda felt like "dry" water (like touching water without getting wet).
Fun Fact: Liquid Helium is actually the coldest liquid, as liquid helium is -452.20°F, and liquid nitrogen is only -320°F.

This reminds me of a liquid from the thermal expansion mod called Gelid Cryotheum that places down snow, makes snowmen, and damages the player if they touch it.
Also in the same mod, there exists a blazing pyrotheum, which is basically lava but much hotter.
Instead of the liquid nitrogen being alike to water, make the liquid invisible and add white smoke particles (if possible) and it would definitely would work better
the amount of lag that would cause would literally destroy the game

It's actually very transparent and it's so cold that it instantly boils upon making contact with pretty much anything due to the fact that it can boil at freezing temperatures. This basically means that the way it looks here isn't really realistic...but that's not too important! You should look it up! It's very satisfying to look at.

Fun random fact: Liquid nitrogen rapidly cooling lava would, well, cause splatters of molten rock or freezing liquid nitrogen but also may a sort of porous bubbly obsidian with a boat load of jagged bits.

Actually, the coldest liquid is liquid helium, and it has some unique properties like super fluidity. It can flow up walls and flow anywhere with no viscosity.
I once was in a really fun class where we destroyed a hot dog along with a penny using liquid nitrogen, and we also ate some crackers that were frozen by liquid nitrogen. If you had the physics mod this would be even bettter and look just like what liquid nitrogen does

I do think that Minecraft could use a 3rd interesting liquid. Besides lava that burns everything it touches, and water that extinguishes fire and can drown you/swim in, I see oil is the 3rd most liquid abundant after water. But what could oil do? Maybe substitute being a lava bucket? Maybe makes blocks that aren’t flammable, flammable? Also drowns you? Hmm

Something I have barely seen done in Minecraft is obtaining air blocks in your inventory. The game can’t give it to you via commands, but could you use some inventory edited to actually get an air block in your inventory?

liquid helium for part 2 of this, (covers mobs/entities in an icy texture while slowly dying to the temperature + for an addition, the player would get covered in an ice texture {basically the same as the mobs/entities} and unable to move while prob added with a modification so it could delete your health bar till it reaches 0 {basically death} )
EDIT 1: I do not think part 2 will exist since its hard to make ideas shown.

The coldest liquid is LHE (Liquid helium) boiling point for helium is -270 'C. helium cannot be a solid/ice.
At -273.15'C or Absolute zero helium is still a liquid state. Btw helium is the coldest material in the universe.
