Thank you very much for the lovely video, if my floor to ceiling drop is 260 and I’m going to fit a somfy 35 electric track on my ceiling, any idea what’s the drop I should order my wave curtains in ? Thank you
I would highly recommend you fit the track first then you have somewhere to measure from. If not it would be the profile depth of the track assuming it attaches directly to the ceiling. Less 1 to 2cm to have it float off the floor. Thanks
Assume you mean a pole. I think there are some rings available with the cord attached to them. Worst Case you could make them yourself. It is all about having a cord between of 80mm or 60mm to set the wave pleat.
Hello, great vid! - I’m about to order some curtains and want this style. So for example if my window width is 140 inches, I really need to order 280 inches? Bit confused about this
Thank you for the question, you can order whatever size you want. With a wave curtain it will need to be wide enough for the number of gliders on the track. So it tends to work out at roughly 2.2x the track length. But it really depends on the number of gliders. When you order from our website you simply enter the track width and we will calculate how wide the curtain needs to be, Also you will enter the number of gliders in a seperate box. We call every customer to double check on a wave order so no mistakes happen. Any questions then please email the team at sales@direct-fabrics.co.uk You can view our wave curtain range here. www.direct-fabrics.co.uk/curtains/wave
Light Seepage is always and issue with curtains. The way to get around this is going floor to ceiling and, even then you can still get light seepage around your curtains. If you use a wave curtain then a rebated track into the ceiling or a pelmet board will stop the light seepage and going past the window by 30-50cm.
Your drapes replicate perfectly the framing of my home’s wooded view.
