Well done to the athletes for a great race but also a super well done for some of the best visual and sound coverage I've ever seen for a track event. The split screen really adds to the excitement by letting us see, close up, where everyone is in the race but without losing sight at any time of what the leaders are doing. Olympic TV coverage should be this good.
German ran 4 min 1600mm first! Best double in America high school history all time German did not Focus on one event plus there nobody on his level too push him to his max in his race that’s why he always double in his races he Always ran along he did have no Rabbit in race it was one man show!!
Simmons is a dog and has fkn guts going for it like that w 1200 to go and nearly holding off the sit n kick gazelle too wow. Incredible race from the American Fork junior
@@Hunkonly6678 so basically his record doesn’t count because it was at a meet that wasn’t technically “high school sanctioned”. Since there were competitors that were collegiates and pros at the meet, it technically is the record but doesn’t count, so simeon has it. Kinda weird but that’s just how the dinky rules work
@@howiesnothere5333 I mean I think it makes sense; who's in the race affects your potential performance. Amos never runs his PB in the 800 without Rudisha pulling him along en route to the WR. Not fair to put records where you could've essentially been paced by a collegian on the same page with pure HS races.
none of guys can do what German did on the track in one day that double !! Plus German ran 2 miles 8:34 Converted 8:31 3200m with bad weather windy and rainy Google it Nike nationals track 2008 2 miles lol!
I ran cross country in high school and under 9 mile or sub 9 mile was extremely rare in the late 90’s now most of the top 3200 meter runners are breaking 9 min line a walk in the park. I think the CIF should do more random steroid testing on all these runners something is not right.
I swear every single video I watch that has Birnbaum in it he wins the race, no exceptions.
He almost won every race he ran in Track that's why

Training is super elevated right now
I’m not saying I ran track anymore. Now I say jogged it.

True!!!

I can’t believe he’s a freshman
he's not a freshman, if he was he would probably be an Olympian in a few years

Simeon almost waited too long
11:22 They did Colin sahlman dirty there 😅
How come?
@@howiesnothere5333 because I think Colin has the record but they forgot about him

Aaron paced them to break his brother's record

Isn't anyone else bothered when so many runners are crammed together in an event on a 400-meter track?
nope

I wonder what Aaron would’ve have gotten if he stayed
Probably 8:45-8:50
Note Aaron ran and won the 800 earlier. He did them a favor to pace the first 1600.

Anyone know why Leo and lex didn’t run that night?
they don't run in high school comps anymore
They only run pro or collegiate meets now. Apparently they are too good for Arcadia

No these runners have better equipment etc, there’s nothing wrong here.
Also that’s the 90S! Don’t you understand athletes have gotten way better since then
