Well done to the athletes for a great race but also a super well done for some of the best visual and sound coverage I've ever seen for a track event. The split screen really adds to the excitement by letting us see, close up, where everyone is in the race but without losing sight at any time of what the leaders are doing. Olympic TV coverage should be this good.

@@Hunkonly6678 so basically his record doesn’t count because it was at a meet that wasn’t technically “high school sanctioned”. Since there were competitors that were collegiates and pros at the meet, it technically is the record but doesn’t count, so simeon has it. Kinda weird but that’s just how the dinky rules work

@@howiesnothere5333 I mean I think it makes sense; who's in the race affects your potential performance. Amos never runs his PB in the 800 without Rudisha pulling him along en route to the WR. Not fair to put records where you could've essentially been paced by a collegian on the same page with pure HS races.

I ran cross country in high school and under 9 mile or sub 9 mile was extremely rare in the late 90’s now most of the top 3200 meter runners are breaking 9 min line a walk in the park. I think the CIF should do more random steroid testing on all these runners something is not right.
