A small, undetected water leak in the Kirkwood home in Port Orchard, Washington led to an uncontrollable mold infestation, sickening the family of seven.
Eleven-year-old daughter Jael applied for a makeover but the family was not initially selected. Jael persisted, enlisting the help of "Sweet" Alice Harris and the mayor of Port Orchard; one year later, Jael's persistence paid off, and the family was selected.
The team demolished the mold-infested home and built a completely new one in its place.

You know it was moldy. Why built based on woods again? Why not from bricks and cement? It would be the same in the end. 😮
