Zairean Tutsi rebels are advancing on key government-controlled towns driving the government troops into the hills.
The government's ill-disciplined soldiers having left behind a trail of destruction -- towns looted and burned.
Rebels near Beni on the Ugandan border captured some of the fleeing soldiers.
The Banyamulenge rebels say they are fighting for democracy and freedom in their country.
In recent days, they have driven many government troops into the forests near Beni on the Ugandan border.
The poorly trained, poorly paid and poorly fed government troops have fled many of these smaller villages without a fight.
This village is located 120 kilometers north of Butembo in northern Zaire.
These are the burning shells of the recently abandon homes of government soldiers.
Rebel troops find ammunition and weapons left behind in the hasty retreat.
As the rebels take control of the village -- a woman is singled out for punishment -- she is slapped for allegedly aiding government troops.
Another villager points to the bush. She tells the rebels a soldier -- a straggler -- is hiding in the forest.
The man is found and dragged back into the village.
He begs for his life repeating over and over, "Please, please do not kill me.... please, please do not kill me," denying he is a government soldier.
His pack and belongings are discovered and emptied.
An army uniform along with his ammunition hit the ground- a damning indictment.
He is not summarily executed, at least not in front of the media, and is dragged away a prisoner.
Another soldier is found hiding in the forest.
He too is bound and taken prisoner.
Rebel troops are advancing north and west with little hindrance.
They are making their way towards the towns of Watsa and Isiro and the northeastern regional capital of Kisangani, Zaire's fourth largest city.

I thought Tutsis were the victims of the Rwandan genocide. So, why are they committing genocide against an entirely different ethnic group in Aan entirely different country? This is all too confusing.

It’s all spelled out in the description, right below the video. They couldn’t have been “victims of the Rwandan genocide” because it happened in another country, namely Rwanda, which is a foreign country to them. As stated in the description, they are Congolese.
None of the things in the video qualifies as “genocide.” The slap on her cheek may have hurt a bit, but that doesn’t make it a “genocide”.

Exactly the situation in Rwanda the perpetrators became victim and the victim became perpetrators to understand why the genocide happened you have to go back to colonial era when Belgium gave all the privileges to Tutsi and use them against Hutus after the Tutsi became rebellious against Belgium they then turned the table and use Hutu against Tutsi. But the situation in Congo is very complicated it has also to do with Kagame being a western puppet who is being used to bring trouble in Congo

Ignorant people don't know that, Hutu Killers/Genociders fled to DRC after being defeated by RPF. After reaching in DRC, they started to re-organising themselves to come back and kill Tutsi.

Heartbreaking! I'm starting to think this is part of the reason behind the Banyamulenge being marginalized. Obviously they were not attacked by the Tutsi when Kabila entered the country with them. Crimes have been committed on both sides, but we have to find the root cause and not a band aid solution

Congolese president Mobutu was VERY wrong to arm the genocidaires, which he did even at the height of the genocide! Unfortunately some of his soldiers ended up paying a price for that infamy.

No. These are Congolese rebels who are fighting the government of President Mobutu Sese Seko. They are not fighting Congolese people. Government troops have just retreated and the video shows their temporary camp housing on fire. But some of their weapons are found hidden indoor inside an intact house.
The video also shows two government soldiers who had been left behind being discovered in the bushes. They had tried to disguise themselves by putting on civilian clothing to avoid detection. But villagers had seen them and revealed their whereabouts to the rebels. Their luggage is located nearby; in it are found their military uniforms, some bullets and a rifle.
One of the captured soldiers keeps repeating strictly the same two words, over and over again, regardless of what the question is: “Baba sijui, Baba sijui, Baba sijui …” [I know nothing, Chief; I know nothing, Chief; I know nothing, Chief …] The two soldiers are taken as prisoners.
Apparently the weapons discovered indoors had been hidden by the woman who gets slapped for that.
I can hear them speak Swahili, the man beg not to be killed, the women slapped to tell where the owner of the house is, they hide weapons for the rebels
