I love his album Walls. Out of all the boys he keeps his accent when he sings. My fave song is defenceless (no mv) but if you watch parts from his livestream he kills Fearless and he debuts an unreleased song copy of a copy of a copy. If you watch his mv’s you should watch the director’s cut- which is 3 songs together telling a story - kill my mind, don’t let it break your heart and we made it.
Louis is my fav from 1d always has been. Walls is an amazing debut album with not a bad track on it, I'm so proud of him. Lovely reaction too, my fav track on the album is Miss You, Always You, Kill my mind, Only the brave. What an album!!

For sure this song, Walls, is about having your walls coming down and realizing some truths about yourself. Mmm. I could say what Louis has said about it but I'm going to leave it. But if you do want to know more about his songs in general and don't want to spend time searching up interviews then I recommend his track-by-track videos. It's very brief, like a minute long, overview of each song but it gives you his perspective and you may be surprised by how he relates to some songs. This is my second fav song of his. Same as with Two of us it just ticks off everything I love. The sound/production, very relatable lyrics and of course Louis voice. This is one of the songs Louis is also most proud of. He wrote it late in the game so to speak. He had found a new way of writing after he had written Two of us and it was after that his writing just clicked easier. Before he wrote Two of us all songs just lacked meaning, sort of in a writer's block kind of way. He got hit with another family tragedy shortly after releasing Two of us in 2019 and he lost his little sister. He obviously canceled all promo for the song but came back with a message a month later saying he was going to focus on music that HE wanted to do. Music that made him happy. His priorities had changed. He was fully aware the songs he wanted to make was not the sound that got played on the radio, that it wouldn't give him any no 1 hits. But he was ok with that. He was done making music for others, now he wants to do it for himself. He basically said take it or leave but this is me. Instead he wanted to get back to his roots and that was his love for certain bands in 90's. Walls is a perfect example of that. It's inspired by OASIS and he even uses a couple of chords directly taken from one of their songs in this song, Walls. And to cover all bases the label asked for permission to use those chords in the songs which was granted. That's why you'll find one of the OASIS brothers being credited on this song. Even the chair hanging up on the wall is actually inspired by an OASIS MV. Another song that Louis favors is Kill my mind. It's his second single from the album but it was the last song he wrote. It's pretty much the only rockier song on his album. Louis is driven by wanting to tell a story in his lyrics and sound comes second. But with Kill my mind it's the other way around. He wanted to make a statement with it, to his fans I suppose, that this is the sound he's wanting. But it's the only one on his album so it's pretty likely we will get more songs similar to that on his next album. The album Walls is still a transitional album, from the 1D sound to where he's going. I'm pretty sure he knows where he's going now though. He didn't at all when he started making this album in 2017. If you want to listen to any of his album songs in a live setting he did a live stream concert in December. All covid safe of course so no audience. But it has the best sound if you want to hear his songs and the live sound is a little bit more rockier in general compared to the studio album. He also did 3 1D songs. Def recommend Drag me down and Through the dark from that live stream. It was soooo good. Other live performances could be with "Don't let it break your heart" which he performed on X Factor UK to get a different take on a live performance. I prefer the live stream but I really like this one too. I'm sure others have recommended other songs too. I agree to all of them ;) Sorry for the very, very long comment. Yes. Yes, I feel you. Think we all feel you. And yes, Two of us was the song about his mom. And it is just so beautiful. It's my favorite song of his. Because it's the most impactful and emotional one for me. It is also describing loss in such a tangible way, it may be hard but just take one step at a time and you will get through it. It's sad but also hopeful and full of strength. But it's also about the music, the sound. I think it's a beautiful arrangement and it brings out Louis voice. I've always loved his voice. It's different to the other boys. Not always the smoothest perhaps but IMO always emotive and to me it feels warm. Most people, like critics for the most part, just always compare Louis and all the other boys to Harry and it's just not fair. None of them are the same and all of them have different qualities. It's not always about "who is the best singer". For me it's about who makes me feel the most. And to me that's Louis. Well, I'm at work and only 5 min into your video but I gotta go. Yes! We want to see you react to tons of Louis Tomlinson. He is everything. His voice will soothe you like no other. He writes all of his songs, and he wrote over half of the songs for One Direction. He was so underrated with them as management pushed him down hard and told him he would never be able to carry a song alone. This album should be everywhere, but management didn’t even send any of them to the radio! Two of us is a masterpiece and what else can you say about it. But there’s so much deep meaning also behind walls. I believe the words “ nothing wakes you up like waking up alone“ really have a double meaning. The realization that you’ve screwed up, and that person is gone when you’re used to seeing them in the morning, and also it’s a waking up to figuring out who he is, And how he got to this place. He built walls around his true self and didn’t allow him to fully be authentic in this relationship. He says why are thank yous so bitter sweet, as he thinks the other person for helping him grow up. He also says he started out to save you but in the end you’re saving me! Louis is the most honest and gifted writer. Louis is a perfectionist who honed his writing skills on the majority of the last 3 of 5 1D albums. He is known for his emotive vocals. Louis livestream was the biggest for a solo artist in 2020! If you want to watch live performances it is the best!

I'm so glad you like his music and voice, he's really an amazing artist and human being!! People usually overlook him because he's not a "power vocalist", but his tone is my favorite thing in the world, you can just feel the emotions when he sings... The style he's trying to do is close to 2000's brit-pop/pop-rock, one of his biggest musical inspiration being Oasis. Noel Gallagher was actually credited on Walls because the chord progression was similar to one of their songs and he gave his permission for Louis to use it!
