I feel your pain Luke. Dice are pure evil. The dice in the Clone Wars boxes are even worse.

That was a hell of a game. Really looked close there for the GAR but managed to pull it out! FOR THE REPUBLIC!!
Be interesting to see more of the republic corvette. I think they can also work as pocket carriers, long range gunships, fast torp ships as well as the fleet support variant.
Is it me or are the fighters just way better than the old first wave fighters?

Arcs are only speed 2 right? I dont have any clone wars stuff but I really want some Arcs lol
All Fighters Follow Me! was in effect that turn so they were bumped to Speed 3.

I have played with the separatists. For right now hyena bombers and vulture droids seem like the back bones of the fleet

@@dovahfett5919 definitely limited by availability. They are definitely good just it’s easy to fill up a fleet with hyena bombers

Thank you another great battle rep! I recognize that when introducing the fleets, you don't show upgrade cards anymore. I found that really helpful in previous videos.

Have you played them againt Empire and Rebels? How do the clone war factions fare against large ships like ISD and MC80 when they currently have none?
I played a Separatist game vs Empire.
My list: 2x Transports with bomber command center and munitions resupply, Munificent with Kraken and various stuff, 2 Vultures, 3 Hyenas, Baktoids, Grevious and 4 Tri-Droids. It wasn't a good list, too many upgrades. Later I discarded two Vultures and some upgrades to fit a fourth ship.
His list: Onager, VSD with D-Caps, Raider II and Gozanti
I won, but only because I sacrificed one of my Hardcells during deployment phase and ran him aggressively to draw the VSD away from the rest of the fleet. I isolated the Onager and took it down, but my flagship survived only because a Gozanti rolled an accuracy instead of damage during the final turn. If my fleet wasn't so damn bomber focused I'd have lost.
Clone Wars factions are... not ready to compete with Rebellion and Empire, but aren't completly outmatched either.
@@PetersaberHD if the Empire and Rebel fleet was limited to similar ship types as the Republic and CIS, do you think it would be more competitive? Such as the Imperials only able to field VSDs and Interdictors, and the Rebels limited to Assault Frigates? Corvettes are allowed on both sides, of course.
@@elijahsellers3727 if that was the case Republic and Separatists would be overpowered. Power creep is real in those two new factions. Munificent is better than Assault Frigate, and Acclamator is better than a VSD. Both factions have a potentially more powerful fighter wing, too.

I raced to the comments to make Luke more salty😜🤣, and to point out that ARCs don’t get a reroll from Navoota Bee when attacking ships. He was taking rerolls from Bomber Command and Navoota Bee, but he is new to the faction and I’m armchair admiraling.😅 Edit: I reread the Navoota Bee title and I think that’s correct, but I see why you might think any non unique would get a reroll against a ship too, but I think it’s saying any squadron that already has Swarm, gets a reroll against ships. If they wanted any non unique to both get Swarm and a reroll against ships, they worded it oddly, but I think it’s non uniques get Swarm and non uniques with Swarm get a reroll. I guess AMG needs a clarification on this title.
Nevoota Bee does two things. Firstly, it grants non-uniques activated by it swarm. Secondly, it lets all squads with swarm reroll against ships. If they wanted it to only be non-uniques in the second part, then it would have said non-unique squadrons with swarm. The lack of that distinction is intentional.
@@ericburtch4268 That’s fair, I can see that. But I don’t think the card gives Swarm to a squadron, then also gives that same squadron a reroll on a ship attack. The squadron needs to have Swarm natively to get the ship attack reroll. ARCs don’t have Swarm, that’s all I was saying.
@@bronzesparrow8716 If that's what they wanted, they would have used the phrase "printed Swarm", as they do with Salvo, or Adm. Chiraneau. The Bee grants swarm, so squads activated by her *have* swarm. Thus when she activates ARCs, they have swarm and get to reroll.
@@ericburtch4268 your examples don’t relate very well, but beside that you really believe that a 5 point card would give rerolls to any non-unique ship for both squadron and ship as well as any squadron with Swarm can reroll against ships? That’s a lot of heavy lifting for 5 points, especially considering Chiraneau (the card you mentioned) costs 10 and even Toryn Farr costs 7, and Bomber Command Center costs 8. Just sayin.
@@bronzesparrow8716 Those were merely cards to demonstrate that when they want to restrict an ability to a printed limit, they do so. Not comparing abilities or costs. It's well balanced, especially once you see the Wave 10 ships.
I’m probably wrong, but don’t you need to have less squadrons than your combined squadron value?
Nope. Generally it is a good idea (because you can't command all your squadrons), but in some cases it works out - particularly with rogues, Hera or maybe HSB.
If you do limit yourself to your fleet squadron value it makes it "more immersive" but it's not a rule by any means.
The only limit on squadrons is that they have to be less than a third of your total fleet value, and no more than 1 unique with defense tokens per 100 point fleet value.
