If you are traveling during the day then you can take NH-48 but just after Karad you have to take the right. which will connect you on NH-66. According to me, this is the best route to go to Goa. you can go from anywhere but you will have to travel 100 km of single line road When we take the right from Karad and connect to NH-66, it gets a lot of scenic views in between, so according to me, this route is the best.
