I just wanna thank you guys for this video. I bought the speaker harness kit and it made my install beyond simple! I didn’t even end up needing the Hilo converter but ordered it just in case! Great video and great harness you guys made! 🔥🙏
Time stamp where the dogs appear is 41:01 Just for future reference, for the power wire from the battery, there's actually a hole in the frame rail that leads right inside the cabin just to the left of the brake pedal. I successfully ran a 4AWG wire through it, I bet you could fit a 0AWG with a little extra effort I'm confused about your t-harness connections at 18:30. One channel connected to a full range signal and the other channel connected to a subwoofer that I would assume is getting a higher power signal than the full range. Can you make that make sense to me? I mean I suppose the dub amp is filtering out the high levels, but then why even hook up a high level in the first place?
what harness would you like? Also could you send some photos our way of the location you are talking about. We would love to show everyone a way without having to drill any holes. Thank you for the feedback. As for the signal of the rear speaker and subwoofer you are right. But there are some circumstances where someone might want the crossover higher than the factory subwoofer is at. So if you send both signals you can decide where the crossover point is.
@@AcuraAudioGaragewhat exactly are my options for the harness? I was planning to order from you at some point. I have a 2012 tech package wagon. Was going to go full aftermarket and use the jbl 8 channel you have on your website. I did consider the crossover frequencies. I am still curious as to the differences in power since i'm sure the subwoofer gets a higher power signal than the full range. Would the aftermarket amp level the two inputs?
@@Kylethemestupfile You want the ELS integration harness. JBL amp is great but not super loud. That is a great question and my assumption is the line-out converter circuit does level them both out but I would need to test it. Also in our video we didn't set our crossover over 100hz so if the higher end signals were louder we did not hear them. I will do a test and let you know. The harness you will use won't have this issue because it plugs in at the amp.
@@AcuraAudioGarage it seems my last reply didn't post earlier today. I will gladly accept the ELS integration harness! Also, in response to your earlier message, I will happily send you photos of how to run the power wire. Or maybe even possibly a video. What would be the best way to communicate?

Question. Currently have 2 12's on a "1000w" amp getting the signal from the 8in factory sub by a simple non powered loc. I have your amp bypass, do I still need to wire the stock sub to the bypass or can I leave unwired? Basically can i just add 4ch amp for doors with bypass w/out messing with sub loc?
