Moral of this story: do not expect help from the gods but don’t underestimate them either. Even if it seems like they should absolutely intervene there’s no way to predict their actions and even if it seems like you didn’t get help… that could very well be false. This story actually feels like an except from an ancient tale… and I mean that as a compliment
When thinking about deities, I sometimes like to compare different beliefs of different peoples of the world at different times. Some deities such as the gods of ancient Greece are so arrogant, selfish and cruel that it is easy to believe in them. They seem very human, because they embody so many human vices. But because of this, they are so difficult to admire or love, they are too human. It was as if a divine power fell on a random person and this person began to use it and have fun as far as his imagination allows. But at least they are easy to believe, though difficult to respect. In some modern religions, God has turned, on the contrary, into some kind of weakling who allows people to do whatever they want and forgives everyone. There is little human in this, but divinity is also not felt. Just some kind of loser, perhaps a masochist, not a god. Some gods are like judges who always pass a guilty verdict and always punish without reason. Other gods are like judges who always let criminals go free, also for no particular reason, just out of love. But loving everyone is the same as loving no one. There are other gods who don't care. They are like judges who are generally too lazy to come to court. Whatever happens, they don't care. Then there are the gods who just go wild and go on bizarre adventures. Basically they are more like demons enjoying themselves and hanging out with each other. There are also gods who are very envious and jealous. They terribly dislike it when someone worships other gods. They quietly hide and closely follow your every move like stalkers. They also like to lock people up forever to punish them. But they do all this because of their great crazy love for people. Hmm... It reminds me of something. It turns out that God is a yandere?! Oh my God. Often gods who do not show themselves in any way and just hide somewhere. First, they created this imperfect world with a lot of problems, and then they cowardly ran away. So irresponsible. Like children who scattered toys, but forgot to put their room in order. As you might guess, I'm not a fan of religion. However, although I laugh at the fact that people are so limited in their fantasies and invent such implausible gods, I do not condemn those who take this seriously. My comment is more of a joke, I'm not trying to be too serious here. And yet I like this goddess. I like her because she is selective in who is worthy of her love and who is not. She is not like gods who are cruel just to be cruel. And she's not like the gods who are forgiving for no particular reason. And I cannot call her completely indifferent to the fate of people. I like a lot about her. And I think your voice suits this character well. Thank you. TL;DR Even if I'm not religious, I still like this character and it seems realistic. It has a good combination of the divine and the human.
They say that god works in mysterious ways. I think it should say the gods ways our sometimes just and sensible and it’s humanity and other sentient beings our the ones that have gone mad.
This is something that would only bother me, but this script writer doesn't seem to know what hubris is, because being "an insignificant being in your own eyes" is the exact opposite of hubris
