Thank you for your support 🙏🏽. If you watch episode 002, there are 3 birds I feature half way through the episode. They flew in 3 different OLRs, in 3 different states, but they are all full siblings and money winners.
You don’t think there is a challenge with racing pigeons? One of the biggest one loft races in the world is in Thailand called Pattaya Int Pigeon Race over 11,000+ pigeons competing and fanciers from over 55+ different countries enter. 1st place is 218,000 USD and prices all the way to 500th place.
@@byionutcirstea I understand it’s metal. You are entitled to your own opinion. This argument has already been fact checked, stainless steel is safe to use with probiotics. Companies that make probiotics and ferment bacteria use stainless steel parts to do so.
Thank you for the kind words. Generally solid droppings come down to the health of the pigeons and the right environment. I use natural products like oregano, cinnamon, and herbs. For the environment, having a well ventilated loft will keep the humidity down.
Hi What state/city are you racing from? I retire soon and will have lots of time to train pigeons. When I was a kid I had lots of Rollers. But now I want to try racing.
Well put together promotional video . Personally i am not interested in using any products. Good pigeons clean loft good feed + grit and minerals plenty of clean water does me .
I really like that you want to keep your pigeons as "natural" as possible but let me tell you that you wouldn't stand a chance here in Germany, the Netherlands or Belgium. Of course the loft, the quality of the pigeons and their health are the most important parts. But we're competing against professionals like Eijerkamp, Verkerk and many others and to have a chance against these professionals you have to do a little bit more to be at least somehow competitive as a "standard" fancier who has to go to work every day and has significant less time to work with the pigeons. Plus I can promise you that you'll never breed healthier and stronger young birds with standard grain than you will with additional products like Optibreed. With Optibreed you even have to put the ring on a few days earlier because they grow perfect every single day, we never had that back in the days when my grandpa or even great grandpa raised pigeons (and even they gave sth like brewers yeast every other day :D)
@@Oneloftracing like I said I'd prefer it that way too. Our pigeons don't get any extra products from November to march at all (except grit of course) but during the racing season, moulting and breeding we try to make it as easy as possible for them. If we expect 3 rounds of youngsters we want to make sure that the breeders don't suffer at all, if we expect our pigeons to race every single weekend for almost 20 weeks we want them to recover as quickly as possible to build up reserves for the next race. And of course during moulting when the pigeonbody really is suffering we want to make sure that we give them all the components that they need so that they are able to build their new feathers without any mistakes or problems and to keep the suffering as little as possible. That just can't be done just with food. During moulting maybe when you feed lots of sulfur containing seeds but that would mean way too much fat.
Quick question, do you not fly the pigeons urself? I saw you send some to a 1 loft race. And what happens to the birds you send to those after the competition is over?
I don’t have the time to commit to club racing at the moment. Birds not selected to OLR are flown by my good friends in their club/combine in different states. I bring back my olr birds and decide which ones I want to keep and make available.
@@ceyxloft ah oké, that made me change my opinion about OLR. I first disliked those kinda races kill the pigeon sport (it makes it commercial to the point people rather make money than actual rake care of the birds) but now that you gave me an inside or a different perspective, I understand why you would participate in them. Thanks for the info.
Just to clarify I’m not hating, it might come across that way but English isn’t my first language so. Pigeon racing is a dying sport/hobby so we got to support eachother.
@@pietswiet1134 this is just my personal take why I compete in olr. As much as I would like to fly in the club again, the time invested in flying yb or ob is a lot. There is a reason why pigeon racing is dubbed the retired man’s sport. I just don’t have the extra time in the mornings to basket birds and head down the road.
