Vancouver's Hidden Trash Dumps

- Join us on a day of cleaning trash in the waters of down town Vancouver. This dive was right beside science world, and we barley scratched the surface of this area. The amount of trash in this area is overwhelming, and included some of the widest array of items. Some items we find are at home in the are such as bikes and skateboards that are frequently used along the sea wall. But some other items like a guitar amplifier and a computer monitor are just pretty wild to me! Ever time i find an interesting item i always wonder the story behind how it go there. On this cleanup a couple of the items actually belonged to a guy who lies on his boat there. And for the most part the items he lost sounded like vary accidental, which is nice to hear when the alternative would be he tossed them there.

There is probably more than four hundred tons of garbage along the shoreline around Vancouver, but thank you for cleaning up what you can. You're making a difference and setting a great example!

I was riding that bmx you found down Kingsway one day, when I saw you. I saw you leaving 7-11 with 4 glizzies and a slurpee. That’s when it hit me, the guitar amp just before it went over board. When I woke up, Henry was attaching a lift bag to me claiming he found another horseshoe crab.
