I feel like all of those things really add to the overall greatness of the song, like those the slight imperfections and the sorta bad mic quality, it really gives a unique charm to the music that you don't see often

Wow!!!!! This is one of the best songs I’ve heard recently. Emo/punk influence, with some musical theatre and almost classical harmony structure sometimes, soooo tasteful! Lot of yearning b6 stuff that really gives it that tinge of melancholy. Also the 1960s jazz style at times, what a work of art.

I found Glass Beach through their song Soft!!!! when I was listening through some music recommended to me on Amazon Music after finishing Pale Machine, I loved it and it reminded me so much of Bo En so I listened to more Glass Beach and I’ve been a huge fan ever since :)

I remember the night I discovered this song I had a breakdown right after hearing it, something about this song is just so melancholy. After my breakdown I talked with my mom a bit about my gender dysphoria and I felt like she really understands me.
I know you made this comment a long time ago but it really resonates with me, this song has always held some emotional sway over me and I can't help finding myself associating my gender dysphoria with the girl described in the lyrics somehow

First heard this song when it had around 100,000 views, and it is genuinely one of the greatest songs I’ve ever heard. It’s amazing to see that this song has one million views finally, and im glad to see how great glass beach is, with all of their songs being better than the last, while all feeling so unique. All of them have their own unique style. This song is more sad, while cold weather is upbeat and happy, while classic j dies and goes to hell is slow and hopeful and reminiscent of the past, with yoshi’s island being uplifting. Such a unique band, I can’t wait to see more of you guys in the future, keep making amazing music you absolute fucking legends

I'm serious, I nearly teared up.
My eldest brother sent this to me to tell him about my thoughts about it. He never told me directly, but I bet why he sent it was truly because it reminded him of me. I didn't think that much of it at first but when I finally started to listen closely to the lyrics I started to remember my past. In my younger years I was always lazy, unmotivated, depressed and I was insecure about myself. That was who my family mainly saw me as. I've wasted many of my days and years where all I could do was draw, watch random UA-cam videos on my computer, or nap frequently. At home I couldn't watch anything on the T.V., I didn't really have any friends who I could interact with and my family as a whole barely talked to each other because at the time we would all be on our electronics, so those were really the only activities I could do besides homework.
Ever since the lockdown in which made me who I am now and helped me develop a better look on the world, looking back on my past self made me anxious about who I've become. It made me think of questions like: "Have I really fixed my life?" "Even if I my mindset improved, does my actions still make me the same" "Will I ever be coming back to being my old self any time soon?"
That statement I made to myself was a few days ago and what I learnt after those days is that NO, the past stays in the past and it won't come back. That's a relief.
