We needed Laine so bad. I wish Caufield will reach at least 30 goals and I hope Slaf can find the back of the net more often.

When Demidov will arrive, he will help the other offensive guys get more points. He and Hage will fix the SLIGHT lack of offense we still have. Our current issues are that our defense crumbles when we have a lead, and Primeau has NOT being a good second to Montembeault.

I’m really hoping that Dach gets back to his old form and offensive abilities soon.

@@Kathleen-u7s4b personally I'm giving Dach till next year to fix his game. He did miss an entire year after all. If next year he's still not better then that's when it will be a genuine issue

I saw a review and the Refs were letting Detroit get away with all sorts of roughing and high sticking calls. I hope it's more one sided tonight. Glad to see you post more Andrew!

Can we just talk about how good the Toffoli trade was? People were calling it the one bad trade when it happened because they didn't want to lose Toffoli, but getting Heineman and a 1st round pick in the same trade is amazing value

There are only FOUR players in the NHL that have more power play goals than Laine, and three of them have eight!!! (Laine has 7). The pp was one of the spots we REALLY needed help with too. That fourth line is awesome, Armia-Evans-Heineman. It's our blue collar line, boys all work hard, even Armia!

I think Montreal would fit Laine too. I believe USA doesn't fit him as well as Canada. Just a feeling that Canada feels more like home away from home for him.

Watching this during 2nd intermission of Saturday's game and he has another pp goal. I really hope he re-signs at a discount to stay

How hard you need to shoot puck to brake stick like Laine did?

I know Primeau has been garbage, but I do not endorse playing Montembeault twice in a row. Goalies injuries happen very often when they're overplayed.

It wasn't a grueling 1st game. He'll be fine. Playing the 4 Nations cup is a bit more worrisome since he won't get that much needed rest.

Carrier impressed. Definitely a more polished Dman over our young guys on D. Love his gap control and he has a super active stick and altho not overly offensive, he does not hesitate to join the play I just hope he can entice more of the Habs D to play his way than the other way around. Now I am no hockey coach but am I the only one who thinks the coaching staff might want to reduce Hutson's TOI / game...not because I think he deserves less ice time but I feel they are going to burn him out. He has never played an 82NHL game season, and I feel the high NHL minutes every game is starting to catch up with him. My main concern is as you get tired, you try to compensate in your play and there's more chance of injury. Don't get me wrong, Hutson should play Norris Trophy minutes every night but I figured it would be gradual, not his 1st season. Hughes priority to do list is find Hutson a suitable D partner bc Matheson is definitely not it (I think it will eventually be Reinbacher but he will be a couple yrs away). Other priority would bring some physicality and bigger body net presence, battle along the boards, good body checking player into this team. Go Habs Go!

Carrier, is a Joker card... He can be slotted anywhere in any situation. He's the perfect guy to have in your alignment if you ever get an injury. He can play 1st-2nd pair and whatever happens, he'd play 5-6 if he gets to wear the Habs jersey. He's the perfect fit, no question.

Hutson Matheson combo is fine. The giveaways are literally brain farts The pairing wouldn’t matter.

A game to forget for Hutson despite assisting on the game winner. Montembeault should have had a shutout.

Maybe Canadiens claw their way to the Playoffs. There's still a chance, albeit a small one.

Just nice to see them still competing every night, and they’re building some confidence as a group it seems. Laine has been a game changer for this team right now.

And I wanna add about every Finn prefers Canada over US as for living and things outside the hockey. Living conditions and people's behavior. Selänne is exception he's oddball even in Finland.

He did really help inspire this channel, yes. I really like his style and how much fun he has, so I’ve tried to do something similar, for sure. Not that I’ll ever be as influential as he is, but I do have a lot of fun creating my own version for habs fans.

If JB was not your friend before, he's definitely gonna be "awkward" with you the next time you two meet up. 😒
