Look at US, Spore, Japan & South Korea economic model. They are all high income nations, their corporations are rich. But are their citizens & youth living prosperously..?

as people in semicon industry, malaysia dont have talent pool issue.
Most of the semicon MNC manufacturing plant still work like 90s and local semicon company you can imagine yourself.
there is lot of engineers go to singapore after 2-3 year working due to pay issue and myself is one of them haha.
what happen now semicon front end wont come into malaysia but all go into singapore.
For backend, now the highest margin business go into advanced packaging. if malaysia local company didnt shift from conventional packaging to advanced packaging. Malaysia local semicon industry as OSAT will die in 10-20 years due to India local company TATA vision is to become dominan in OSAT. India government & TATA is really all in into semicon, and india cost is much lower than Malaysia.
    Good luck malaysia semicon industry.

Wow you two young girls know a lot of economic matters and national economic progression and up skill labour and do more on higher value chain businesses. The whole economic progress involves a multiple disciplines and cooperation between private business and government policy makers. China can do things fast because they have a centralized long term planning and a population of STEM graduates. Malaysia education system is still lacking in many fields. Malaysian can learn a lot from China, USA and Singapore to upgrade its industries. China has shifted a lot of low skill value chain industries to other countries. Chinese industries engage a lot of robots. That is why their EV price is so cheap.
