+Josh Martin Home was a great album and so far it has been a better album than "Sevendust" (the self titled release.) I mean don't get me wrong, there are A LOT of bands who release their first album and then their follow up effort usually sucks (Not a lot of bands... but some.) I wasn't a big fan of "Alpha" "Black Out The Sun" or "Next" however "Seasons" was a very good album. "Black Out The Sun" felt very rushed, and I wanted to like that album but I think this album will be the album that should have followed "Home."
+followfornothing I agree buddy, you forgot "Animosity" which was also a sick album and "hope and sorrow", which had its moments. Fingers crossed they hold onto those punchy riffs and spine crushing breakdowns and bridges we all love!!!

I've called up to my local rock radio station everyday since this song has been released to radio stations to request this song...the DJ straight up told me that his bosses think this song is too heavy for their current rotation being predominately The Pretty Reckless and the new Breaking Benjamin songs...whatever, their loss. True Sevendust fans didn't discover them through mainstream radio, so mainstream syndicate can keep their Pretty Reckless and Nickelback...we'll keep the good stuff.
Matt S. Breaking Benjamin plays in the same low tuning but Sevendust makes music an artform instead of putting out radio top 20 trash . I like all those bands above .
wmc128 That's cool that you like those bands, I personally don't have anything against them...I just hate that my local radio station will stifle the idea of spinning new Sevendust just because there's screaming in the song, but will play "Failure" 30 times in 3 hours. I just want more people to know about Sevendust is all.
Matt S. "Failure" IMO is worst song BB ever wrote .But "Failure" by 7dust is the exact opposite it actually sounds original not copy and paste chord progression from previous albums. Ben should just sing and let Jasen write all the music from now on.
I don't really pay much attention to BB anymore, they're a good band but you hear a song of theirs and think "Oh, BB, cool" and move on with you life, haha. Really, I'm just excited that Sevendust have a new single out, they're really the only band that interests me anymore.
Matt S. I really love Stone Sour. Corey Taylor has a great voice, and they're just as melodic and often as heavy. Slightly different, but still good. House of Gold and Bones (both parts) are great albums. Give them a listen if you haven't.

True bro it's the mixer dude prolly. They make people fiend by creating an artificial scarcity. The thing is, we needed just a BIT higher dose. They needed to turn them white girls up a little more. You really have to listen in to catch that. Which yeah you will if you have good taste.
Idk if its multiple females but yesterday visiting my dad here in Maryland, we went next door to a friends hanging out listening & playing music & i overheard 1 of the guys say his daughter was rehearsing vocals & the guys (not sure who, maybe Lajon) walked by her room & rly liked it & said "we want you in 1 of our songs". When he came back in the garage i asked him "Did u say your daughter did vocals for Sevendust?" He confirmed it & told me "Thank You" was the song, i thought that was so cool

It grew on you because of Morgan. This is far from the best song of theirs... but it's a technical masterpiece from all of the band. Problem for me is, they have have SEVERAL technical masterpieces, and that one isn't the best song. Shine was their best song... a musical masterpiece even though it wasn't hyper-technical on the drums.

I seen them back in like 2010-11. I was in little Rock, AR at edge fest. they were in the middle of the line up that day, and avenged sevenfold were headlining. they had just put out the nightmare album not long before. a bunch of bands had already came, and played. the crowd was dead. I had never really even listened to sevendust, (same thing had happened to me really with ax7 in 2008), and then suddenly this dude with long ass dreads gets up on the mic, and they start playing. I didn't know any of the songs, but MAN I felt the energy in the crowd explode! I was like damn dude idk any of these songs, but these dudes are awesome! I was talking to someone just yesterday about that story, and showed them this song because they had never heard 7dust. I've been listening to it ever since lol.

I want to THANK YOU sevendust for putting out great music we can still enjoy. These bands like ill nino and disturbed changed so much to where there not enjoyable. Thank you sevendust keep rocking the fuck out of us.
Joshua Hennigan I disagree. Those bands didn't change AT ALL and I think that's why they got stale and people became bored. And when I say change fans don't want to see a complete 180, just subtle things. Sevendust just have such a smart work formula where they know what the fans love and expect, but at the same time they have such a hugely talented rhythm section that to keep things fun for them they try new things which in turn keeps the music sounding fresh and inspired. Because it is. Again, the guys in Dust are VERY smart and talented. They know that while they have fans that like the more direct radio driven stuff that they also have fans who are huge guitar enthusiast and fans who are huge metal heads. I think its the combination of all those things that make this band a force to be reckoned with to this day. Take this song, a great chorus is a great chorus and this definitely has that but it also has that pre chorus lick at 2:21 that makes guitar lovers like me get the chills. Plus the pummeling verses that make the heavy lovers happy. Everyone's happy! And its not like they half ass each aspect, they freakin nail it so in each respected category I listed this guys are respected. I dont know any guitar player or drummer that doesn't agree clint,john and morgan are amazing. Dont get me wrong either, I actually dig disturbed and Ill nino(whose last album was great)

Cold Day Memory and Black out the Sun kind of fade together for me and this song sounds like it could be on either album to be totally honest. Was hoping for something a little different, but I still love both those albums and this song. So glad to hear new Sevendust regardless.
