1982. That summer gave us Carpenter's The Thing, Bladerunner, The Road Warrior, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and Poltergeist. Outside of the summer? The Beast Within, Halloween III: Season of the Witch (a vastly underrated movie, I think), Basket Case, and The Sender. And that is just the science fiction/horror stuff.
Hi Adam.I am from India.I have been following from channel for a year now.You introduced me to some amazing authors.Keep up the great work.I just finished reading your book the tribesmen. Its wonderful.Absolutely loved it.Can't wait to read more of your books.I have already bought a couple on kindle.keep up the great work.
Great video Adam! as usual 😉. I gotta say 1980 is my favorite year for horror, The Shining, Motel Hell, Anthropophagus, The Boogeyman, He Knows Your Alone, Maniac and Altered States just to name a few of my faves from that year.
Great review on Beyond The Door. I ordered this awesome Blu ray Arrow Blu ray yesterday. I remember seeing the censored "Beyond The Door" vhs when I was a kid, and will be very happy to see the Uncensored "Devil Within Her" cut.
1981 has to be one of the best especially if you're a fan of slasher films. It seemed like everyone and their mother wanted to make a horror movie and we got a ton of classics. A lot of films fell under the radar and deserve more praise then they ever got.
Great video as usual! I wanted to like Beyond the Door so much! Sadly I just couldn’t get into it - disappointed but guess we can’t enjoy them all. Would love to see you make a video on Asian cinema. Keep up the good work 👍
2009 is a wonderful year for cinema.it had Tarantino's Inglorious basterds Gaspar noe's enter the void Park chan wook's thirst Bong join ho's mother Michael haneke's white ribbon Lars von trier antichrist Yorgos lanthimos dogtooth Almodovar's broken embraces Sam raimi's drag me to hell Last house on the left remake Human centipede Orphan Ti west's house of the devil Zombie land Rec 2 Jennifer's body Romero's survival of the dead Up District 9 Up in the air The hangover Avatar Hurt locker
Wow. Never thought about it/saw it lined up like that but yes: 2009 ftw. Amazing year. Even just DOGTOOTH, ANTICHRIST, and ENTER THE VOID: some kind of holy triptych.
The entirety of the 80s is my favorite decade for horror, and it's very hard to choose one year. But 1986 probably has the highest quantity of fantastic films that I love. I don't want to list them all even because this comment would get obnoxious.
Richard johnson is hilariously intense in Beyond the door. It is a bad film, but like most italian films it had a bit of flair and imagination that even though they were blatantly ripping Hollywood, they did it with a bit less Manichean vision, and a less simplistic moralistic take on issues than their american counterparts. But although I'm a big fan of italian exploitation, horror, and just in general italian movies, this is not one of their best by any stretch of the imagination
I only saw beyond the door 2. It was more ackward and cring the scary. I’d heard great things from people who did see the first one. I remember the kids saying who are you with a throaty pitch every day for weeks

Honestly if BASKET CASE were the only film released in any given year it'd still be in contention for best year.
halloween 3 was the best of the halloween movies
Beyond the door is basically the movie that some director said that we should make a fusion of the exorcist and rosemary’s baby
The Beyond the Door trailer always terrified me as a kid. Every time it came on the TV and she began rising from the bed I left the room running!
Amazing. This is the scariest BEYOND THE DOOR has ever been!

1984 stood out for George Orwell, and for Winston Smith as well.

I can’t get enough of 80s slasher films

Many of us who we're young in the 70's
we're absolutely terrified of "beyond the door".
It still creeps me out. Even though it's a garbage movie.
I def see how some of these images can become ingrained!
This and the Exorcist traumatized me as a kid!

Omg!! He is so cute ☺️☺️😊💗but keep d beard💗
Beyond the door was pretty terrible
Have been disappointed with some of Arrow's releases, just bad titles and acting.
the freakmaker is awful

You have a really nice voice. You should consider Pershing voice over work
