Did you know that the actress improvised that voice. And she wasn't originally planned to be recurring but she was so well liked that she was brought back in nearly every season.
YES .... especially if ya listen to her on Seinfeld ... it was obvious that wasn’t her real mannerisms / voice.. matter of fact , no offense , it’s so obvious imo , I’d be more surprised if anyone thought otherwise .... again, no offense .. it’s just that honestly , that’s really something I’d hope everyone would know without anyone having to explain anything ... I get The aspect in sharing whatever info as to how her role became recurring ... it’s not a big deal , but can see where those who follow and keep up with any of the celebrity type mess , to where that kind of stuff is of important to some folks to wanna keep up with , ( for me , it doesn’t have any effect , as I honestly may enjoy a show from time to time , but i never get caught up in anything off screen that those people do or anything of their lives details , as it just isn’t anything I’ve ever cared to get caught up in. Not that you’re doing that simply in commenting a “did ya know “ topic hehehe ;), so no offense intended .. but yeah , I’d really just have figured that pretty much anyone would be able to figure out that the voice and mannerisms was an act that she came up with , rather than anyone having to ask her to do it , bc honestly , a lot of people in acting tend to put their own spin on things and feel comfortable enough to do so , where that’s how their character develops , bc writers can’t really come up with every nuance and mannerism , outside a typical type that maybe they’ll have pinpointed , wanting to retain some specific element to it ... but yeah , I get where you’re coming from in sharing that 😂. She has done other shows where she’s more subdued , but it’s obvious she’s been exposed to some degree being around someone that had a twinge of those behaviors etc. bc usually it’s an exaggerated example, but often stems from sometning someone’s lightheartedly pulling from thst actually has some of the traits being exhibited .. but that’s what makes the character work. Had it been over worked and pre planned , I think it wouldn’t have come off as authentic or fresh .. it’s cool when someone takes liberty to develop a character and give jt some personal flair bc that’s when ya know you have something that stands out and will be memorable. We see so many shows and movies out there where ppl are trying so hard to mimic some other person in a role , where it’s not natural feeling or believable... I do think she elevated parts of her own qualities in doing that , though , poking fun at a certsin NY/ jersey or surrounding area accent and mannerisms , bc a lot of us likely have known or come across someone with those exaggerated gestures , style and personality 😂And she took it and exaggerated it to the top and made it hilarious where it still stands out today , whereas so many other ppl can try and mimic that exact type persona and it will instantly be compared against her if it’s close enough , yet often , will be third rate and unremarkable at best 😂. But it def. was her own going with the flow and embellishing that role .. but it almost lends a hand to that of Saturday night live with the old 80-90’s episodes of the women with that accent sitting around with their big hair and big nails snd flashy dress talking about ev thing beinr like buttahhh ( aka butter ) . It’s really likely that role came after her poking fun and exaggerating mannerisms of someone significant to her or in her life In some capacity bc there are folks in real life in certain regions , who really do enunciate snd gesture and even laugh to such a degree. I just am saying I’d think it would be rather obvious , maybe it isn’t , no offense to those who wouldn’t feel the same way , no hard feelings ... but I’d have assumed folks would arrive at that anyway , without thinking otherwise .. could be wrong though hahah .. can’t be right all the time haha 😂
Janice is hilarious!! I'm sick of everyone in the show treated her like a crap. she's a sweet person. and except the "laughing part", she's kind of attractive. She was my second favorite female character in Friends.
She was a better girlfriend and Monica was a better wife for him. I agree, they shouldn’t of treated her like crap, it should’ve been more like if Monica was the only person who didn’t like her.
Just finished watching the series for the first time. I got so excited when she appears, she's hilarious and honestly my favourite minor character going
I was trying to say that janice is the nanny, is so obvious, same voice, same laugh, everyone loves her but in the show a lot of characters hate her because shes annoying, the way she dresses, the haircuts etc
I love Janice. But Emily was a lovely person as well. She just got treated like shit so we obviously saw her ugly side & y'all can't pry yourselves off your bias for 2 seconds lmao
She's by far the best recurring character in the series (although Hank Azaria was brilliant too, I wish Phoebe had ended up with him rather than the bland Mike!)
Janice: Okay! This is what we're gonna call it "Joey and Janice's day of fun!" Joey: Does it have to be a whole day? Janice: Yes because that's how long it takes to love me! I LOVE HER HAHAHAHEHEHEAHAHA
Don't even lie. Janice was the best guest character on Friends. She was hilarious, and all she did was try to be friends with everyone. She did have that loud voice, but she always meant well. She deserved more respect!!
Janice was always one of the funniest women in FRIENDS! I don't get why the FRIENDS wiki says she's the main antagonist...She didn't do anything wrong. Amy Green, Jill Green, Leonard Green, Eddy, Roger, Emily etc are more antagonists. Because they totally abuse the main characters. Janice doesn't. Her laugh, her voice, her behavior, her constantly sudden appearance, her Oh My God! Everything's funny about her! "Well, that's two out of three....Joey, Aaaahahahhahahahaha!"
the actress who played Janice is amazing, scintillating and so believable, she created her own uniquely loveable character, reminiscent of actress Jean Stapleton, who played dear Edith on All in the Family I always look forward to what Janice is going to say, and her laugh, and omg
Janice's entrance to the birthing room was absolutely epic. Her euphoric reaction to seeing what she believes was the long-coming union of Rachel and Ross, and their absolute stone-faced expressions of "Why does the universe hate us? 😂
My fave Janice scene is when she's had her baby and she askes Rachel if she'd like to see it. Rachel goes to look and then gasps. "He kinda takes your breath away, doesn't he." 🤣🤣🤣 Fantastic writing.
I loved Janice from the start♡ This video should have included the part where Janice talks to Rachel about how hard it is going to be to raise Emma alone since Rachel and Ross aren't together. That scene broke my heart and made me love Janice even more!
The scene where Chandler goes with one of the girls to the nail shop and Janice appears all of a sudden saying oh-my-god is missing hahaha! the look on Chandler's face and embarrassment was epic!
Too bad they never came to a spin-off with the Bings and the Hosenstein Litman-Garalnicks nextdoors... I'm a fan already can't helpit, I just love Janice
Janice rocks. She was my favorite character and she's not even one of the main ones! I grew up on Long Island so she reminds me of SO many people I went to HS with!
Janice is funny, likeable fun person. She is down to earth and offers witty helpful advices. Janice would make a good friend and too bad she didn't become a regular character
Janice was the best side character of the show in my opinion. I even loved her annoying voice. She grabbed my attention every single time she appeared on the show.
Am I the only who thinks Janice was actually lovable character from FRIENDS who made us laugh whenever she is on screen.
And so were the rest!
Nilesh Pol i m with u bro
Yes, JM!!! She was far better than whiney Ross or selfish Rachel!
She was brilliant
JM Cooper you understand that every funny situation with Janice Come from the surprise to see her. The running gag is her caracter strengh
Janice should have had her own series.
YES!! Someone should make that happen :))
Imagine her in Two and a Half Men.Well, its too late for that to happen :P
That would have been even more funny than she is
Andi Bellamy She did...... It's called "The Nanny".
popeye697 you know that’s not her... right?
Did you know that the actress improvised that voice. And she wasn't originally planned to be recurring but she was so well liked that she was brought back in nearly every season.
And her real voice is actually deep ASMR like off-character. If Janice used that voice, she would've bagged Chandler all the way to the altar.
YES .... especially if ya listen to her on Seinfeld ... it was obvious that wasn’t her real mannerisms / voice.. matter of fact , no offense , it’s so obvious imo ,

I heard it was based off of The Nanny.
😂🤣😂🤣😂
^ $20 to anyone who reads that whole TLDR.
After a really shitty day, I needed me some Janice
+Bradley Elsken YES that's so true.
Bradley Elsken .
Really?? 😂😂😂
Why did i read that in Chandlers voice
Me too :(
I ACTUALLY LOVE JANICE 😂😂😂
I literally love her
I love her too she very funny lol

Her competition in laugh is Kamala Harris
ua-cam.com/video/WDRgZzkKUP8/v-deo.html
Me too
"I have a very wide pelvis. You remember, Chandler?"
I spat out my drink bahahahahahaha
Chandler: "You still can't stand her, can you?"
Joey: "...I'm sorry man, I TRIED, I really did!"
+MrImastinker You mean Joey. But yeah, they missed that bit! Joey and Janice's Day Of Fun did NOT in fact work!
It was bat day lol
Janice is hilarious!! I'm sick of everyone in the show treated her like a crap. she's a sweet person. and except the "laughing part", she's kind of attractive. She was my second favorite female character in Friends.
Kater Lee who was first
Dee Vang Phoebe.
Kater Lee yes
She was a better girlfriend and Monica was a better wife for him. I agree, they shouldn’t of treated her like crap, it should’ve been more like if Monica was the only person who didn’t like her.
It's a role on a show... right? She was playing a part and that was the character. The others were also playing a part. Wow 😅
Her laugh is music to my ears. I love this woman.
Hell yeah
the only person who could drive Janice crazy was Ross.
😂
Oh
MY
GAWD!!!!
yet they slept together and then Janice think Ross was annoying so she broke up with him. What a twist! Hahaha
I can’t stand another minute of you whining!!
❤
Just finished watching the series for the first time. I got so excited when she appears, she's hilarious and honestly my favourite minor character going
I'm almost done watching the complete series for the first time myself
She is the best guest star everr!Every series with her is amazing...
My favorite Janice moment is when Chandler gives Monica a tape of songs on Valentine's Day but it was really from Janice😂
3:31 😂
Am I the only one who sees Amy Winehouse in Janice?
No, you don´t heheheheh.... So I !!!!!!!!
Well they're both jewish...
Yeah more like Amy "WHINEY"house hahahahaha!!
I was thinking the same thing!
definitely!
Maggie Wheeler is so freaking talented. She should have gotten a show of her own.
Did you see the nanny ?
@@Bellic999 That was Fran Drescher..
@@Bellic999 u joking right?
I was trying to say that janice is the nanny, is so obvious, same voice, same laugh, everyone loves her but in the show a lot of characters hate her because shes annoying, the way she dresses, the haircuts etc
Bellic999 The Nanny is Fran Drescher, Janice is Maggie Wheeler
Friends wouldn't have been the same without JANICE!
At first you hate her but then you understand that this is the kindest character in all series of Friends.
6:17 the way she cries in labour pain cracks me up
Daniel Solomon Yes!!
Daniel Solomon EH EH EH EH EH
Everyone in the show:I HATE JANICE
Everyone in the fandom:Don't worry Janice we like you more than Emily and Charlie
Hanatero Yamada Same here!
Hanatero Yamada I love her more than Rachel. she's hilarious!!
Kater Lee me too,I found Rachel pretentious and kind of boring but Janice was always funny and I feel she brought a lot to the show
I love Janice. But Emily was a lovely person as well. She just got treated like shit so we obviously saw her ugly side & y'all can't pry yourselves off your bias for 2 seconds lmao

Joey: Does it have to be a whole day?
Janice: Yes because that's how long it takes to love me!
I LOVE HER HAHAHAHEHEHEAHAHA
Billie Af the first time I saw that scene I was thinking to myself "really because it took me a minute to love you."
Don't even lie. Janice was the best guest character on Friends. She was hilarious, and all she did was try to be friends with everyone. She did have that loud voice, but she always meant well. She deserved more respect!!
I never found her annoying I would've loved to have her as a friend
Me too
Are you sure? Wouldn't she embarrase you in front of your friends with that freaking laugh? 🤔Hard to believe you. Easier said than done.
She was a sweetheart.
Janice was always one of the funniest women in FRIENDS! I don't get why the FRIENDS wiki says she's the main antagonist...She didn't do anything wrong.

"Well, that's two out of three....Joey, Aaaahahahhahahahaha!"
Damnitguy Yes!!! Finally someone who agrees.
Damnitguy thanks
how about cheating on chandler?
Melia Mandrasari *THEY WERE ON A BREAK*
Because it's a sitcom, there isn't actually an antagonist. That's funny though
Biggest heart , greatest personality , funniest laugh n most beautiful person ever
I ADORE HER ❤️😭🤣
the actress who played Janice is amazing, scintillating and so believable, she created her own uniquely loveable character, reminiscent of actress Jean Stapleton, who played dear Edith on All in the Family I always look forward to what Janice is going to say, and her laugh, and omg
Janice's entrance to the birthing room was absolutely epic. Her euphoric reaction to seeing what she believes was the long-coming union of Rachel and Ross, and their absolute stone-faced expressions of "Why does the universe hate us? 😂
The scene of Chandler playing Janice’s tape while he’s dancing with Monica absolutely cracks me up! 😂🤣💀
She is like the best character. She is absolutely funny and she has never done anything wrong.
The actress playing Janice is amazing!
I think Janice's quite cute.
I think so
Her " OH MY GOD!" Will always be hilarious 😂
Except for her annoying nasal twang and laugh, she was actually a sweet character. I don't think she was treated fairly.
Kaustubh Pethe ... and her fashion choices 😂😂😂😂 But apart from that she's fine lol
her annoying laugh is part of her charm in my opinion especially the friends reactions to it.
I agree
I absolutely loved her
that was done on purpose...
My fave Janice scene is when she's had her baby and she askes Rachel if she'd like to see it. Rachel goes to look and then gasps. "He kinda takes your breath away, doesn't he." 🤣🤣🤣 Fantastic writing.
"Sid, your lucky deaf bastard" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol 😂
I loved Janice (Maggie Wheeler). She's gorgeous, thin, the head of hair. I was in love with Janice. Maggie Wheeler is phenomenal.
“I see you later, sweetheart. You too, Chandler”
Lol Janice is trolling
we love you, Janice!
clunkmess Thank you
"That's two out of three, JOEY" 😂😂 man, his face 😂😂
She looks like Amy Winehouse and sounds like Nikki Minaj, what a strange mix=)
Indeed 😂
You, you, you take my upvote!
shes a knock off of fran from the nanny.
ɷɷ I Haveeee Watchedd Thisss Moviee Leakedddd Version Here : - t.co/e6QlTccFx6
no she doesn't
After the first appearance with her oh.. my..gawd..
Whenever she was brought back it was always a oh my god moment lol 😂
I loved Janice from the start♡ This video should have included the part where Janice talks to Rachel about how hard it is going to be to raise Emma alone since Rachel and Ross aren't together. That scene broke my heart and made me love Janice even more!
I love how she tries to adjust herself in the first scene
I loved Janice! She was so sweet and funny. She was amazing ❤️
Who doesnt love Janice Ahaha I love her, its sad that she's only a recurring character!
She reminds me of Fran Drescher.
"Not just Janice this is Janice in labor contracting and everything" 😁😁😁😁
Hehe! That's my absolute favorite :'D
6:18 I am honestly not exaggerating, i peed myself laughing 🤣
Am I the only one that actually enjoys Janice??? I mean her voice is SO obnoxious and she's quite irritating sometimes but she's still amazing
this is not the best of janice, this is ALL of janice :)
Everything from Janice is the best ;)
HOUSE OF A MISFIT thanks
The scene where Chandler goes with one of the girls to the nail shop and Janice appears all of a sudden saying oh-my-god is missing hahaha! the look on Chandler's face and embarrassment was epic!
*machine gunfire like laughter*
lmao
"Ohhh my GOOOD" LOL!
Too bad they never came to a spin-off with the Bings and the Hosenstein Litman-Garalnicks nextdoors...
I'm a fan already

maggie weleer is the best my fave actress of all time! lmao i was so grumpy this morning now im all happy lol
Janice rocks. She was my favorite character and she's not even one of the main ones! I grew up on Long Island so she reminds me of SO many people I went to HS with!
5:40 Sid "I'm the luckiest guy on the planet"
Ross "Really"
Janice was a hoot. Loved her.
I don't know why, but I love nasal voices. I love listening to Fran Drescher and Maggie Wheeler as Janice
THANK YOU for including the episode titles!
"Squeeze your legs together and cover the baby ears."☠😂🤣😅
This cheered up a lousy day. Thank you.
The astound scene for me was pregnant janice arrives at the hospital! What a entrance.
I loved the part when she says "Oh my..." and chandler goes "Yeah yeah yeah" hahaha
Was craving some Janice today, this was good
Wanted to see the "it's like a reunion in the hall" scene
This laughter is absolutely unique! xD
05:33 "I'm the luckiest guy in the world"
Ross: "Really?" :D
Awwwwwww I love Janice so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍
Monica and Rachel had syrup uh uh now I can get my man to cheer up "Laughing nasally"
is she sponge bob's sister???
habib al aziz No. She's Amy Winehouse's lost twin
I just love her! Every time she laughs I do too!
She's like the Newman of Friends. The audience and I pretty much laugh at everything she says!
WHEN JANICE'S CONTRAPTION CAME, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMG I LAAAAAAAUGHED HAHAHAHA
Janice is absolutely hysterical! The first time I saw Maggie Wheeler was when she played Marva Jr. in the Parent Trap starring Lindsay Lohan.
the 1st time i ever saw her was when she guest starred in Shake It Up as Dina's mom (s1 episode: Twist It Up)...
the fN I never saw Shake It Up. I don't watch Disney Channel like I used to. But I do plan to watch again next month when Tangled the Series debuts.
The Unagi episode is the best when she started singing My Bloody Valentine I was through!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
" I love the way you look every night,Chandler!! Love Janice!!"
" My funny valentine...Sweet comic valentine.....You make me smile with my heart"
Who's going to netflix and watch friends after watching this?
+Irun Mon I finished the entire series on there and I still watch it
- It's you. This is yours!
- What?!
- HAAAAAAA, look how nervous he get's, we havn't slept together is years!
Hahaha
The last expression of Joey's though . Gold!!
My favorite character.
Made me cry! I miss this show
Ok I didn't think Janice was that annoying, but yeah the laugh. Ohh.. Myy.. Gawd that was like listening like nails on a chalkboard.
+Toph Beifong
Or like a machine gun that sounds like a sheep
Toph Beifong thanks
Hngaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha
I genuinely think her laugh is charming and always have
Janice was a really sweet and funny woman. She always made me laugh everytime she was onscreen . Only thay she was not the one for Chandler, Monica was
Oh! My! God!
*Laughs nasally*
Janice: Shut me up...
Rachel: Just tell me how.
Janice is funny, likeable fun person. She is down to earth and offers witty helpful advices. Janice would make a good friend and too bad she didn't become a regular character
OH.. MY.. GOD..
he he he
Melhor "parte" do BEST OF JANICE: 3:44 até 3:46.
Apesar de não ser uma protagonista propriamente dita, ela deixou saudades :')! Obrigada pelo UPLOAD!
What makes Janice most interesting to me is that the actress who plays her is a really really lovely person.
I cried while watching this ♥️♥️
"Happy birthday love janice . MWAHH"
Chandlers mind: oh shitttt
7:10 Chnadler's reaction and face are just priceless haha
She SHOULD have won an EMMY!!!!
OOOOH MY GOOOOD
Her laugh will never not be funny.
She is like a cross between Elmer Fudd and Fran Drescher!!
Her contractions on 6:15 make me cry every time LOLOL
JANİCEEE MY FAVORİTEEE💜💛💚💙💚❤💚
Maggie wheeler has such a sexy voice in real but she modulated her tone for Janice...ohhh myyy godddd!!! And I think she nailed it...
I wish Janice has her own show. I don’t care what others think, Janice was so fun to be around + she is full of wisdom
Janice was the best side character of the show in my opinion. I even loved her annoying voice. She grabbed my attention every single time she appeared on the show.
I preferred her over the main six. Then Estelle, then Phoebe then that’s it.
