So nice to stumble upon this video. I got a larger version of one of these sheds and have said for a while that I planned to skin it with sheet metal. I got a lil lazy(busy rather) and decided to just use a more durable tarp to kick the can down the road a lil while longer, but it’s real nice to see a proof of concept. I may buy another shed soon because we have so many things that need to be protected. You’ve given me alot of ideas to consider to improve my original idea. Thanks for posting!
I did a similar deal. But ran the roof panels the other way. Had to insulate it because the condensation on the ceiling was a pain, in the winter. Better than the rain, but with power tools inside....you get it.😂
Cool build! I made a shed for our tractor out of an old greenhouse frame. I had thought about using a harbor freight frame and was always curious as to how that would turn out. Great job. All the best. Be safe..
It's ok but I noticed that you didn't use any gasket for the tin. Why not? It would seal the seams and keep the water out, especially when used at the edges of the metal.
It's great to see that you actually have some construction experience. So many of these off gridders don't know what they're doing and it's kind of scary. I'm going to guess, electrician maybe?
I hope you dont think that chain on your side x side is going to stop someone from stealing it. real easy to just wack that 2x4 of under the bench the chain is wrapped around.
I did not like the shape but when i heard what the frame was. I said ok. You can also buy these shelters at the flea market. People use them at the flea market. 73
That is well done, not like some real hack jobs I have seen. I think, not sure but you may be able to get sponge gaskets that fit end gable roof connection. Or maybe backer rod to fill large opening to lessen caulking needs.
Thanks for your feed back we appreciate it ! We thought about using that but we didn't have enough room to fit the gaskets in. I've since caulked and painted the building and it seemed to work out great it's been through a pretty good monsoon and is holding up its pretty water tight.
Part 1 video i stated were digging under the plates and pouring cement with threaded rod through the treated plates with nuts an lock washers like we did on the corners already. My Backs been out to complete that step. But thanks for the comment stay tuned for the part 3 video!- take care!
When you trench in the electrical you should video it and put it on the UA-cam and mark your channel inside the electrical box. That way if you forget or somebody else has to work on it they know where the wires are.
oh really? We get about a foot or more a year of snow. I've had 3 of these tent carports from harbor freight and they held up. We tek screwed the frames together and use rope to reinforce the frame to take the snow sag out. But the tents seem to last about a year or two with the high uv. We usually put a heavy duty tarp over them. But when heavy snow comes we use a broom to pull the snow off. Thank for watching ! I appreciate the feedback.
I like it when people think outside the box, and make things work! This really made for a nice building!
Thanks for watching, I hope it inspires you!

Yeah condensation can be a big problem, good thing you added insulation!
That is a great idea. Looks liked you are going in a good direction.
I'm glad you think so!

That's really a n aweome lil shed! But i think i would have made the roof vertical w/a lil over hang! So snow will run/slide off & rain water! catch
Thank you!
Very nice job.
Thanks 4 sharing.

NICE WORK. HOW'S THE WIND IN YOUR LOCATION?
Not bad

On mine I used the cover as a vaper liner.

Thanks for watching! Yes my Father has been in electrical for 45 years but we do have backgrounds in many other trades as well.
The workshop looks good as well as the house you guys built.
@@junipercreekaz ahh! Yes, this is the kind of work my sweetie has done. ❤
Sweet! Rolling Rock!
Oh yeah!
Put you a concrete pier in the floor with a steel ring to anchor the side x side to
That's a Great Idea! Thanks
Outstanding
Thanks!
Looks good .
thank you
How much did the metal cost? $$$
About $800 with screws.
how much$ total was the metal roof?
$800
@@junipercreekaz sweet. great job!
This is cool if you already have one of these vover pro things and the cover gets ripped. Otherwise spend the $150 on the wood to build the frame
Nice.
Thanks!

Dude you can't do that without a 30 year mortgage, because the banks and government knows what's best.
lol
Shhhhh Mr.truth
Don't get me started lol😅
Cos??
It’s not fastened to the ground. It can take off in a wind storm

Thats pretty cool but do not do this in a snow zone. The frame won't hold up to the weight, I had 2 of them, they are flat now.

@@junipercreekaz We got about 3" and mine were smashed flat. I didn't add any support, thought they would be ok, wrong.

Oh Yeah!
You sound like Ricky La Fluer

You think it’s a switch …..and what the F is acrost
Some people pronounce “across” as acrost or acrossed. Not sure why.
@@sellacct66-c5c It's a southern thing. It's how you know where your ancestors came from.
That switch is where he will switch the lights/fan on and off.
