Hello My name is james williams and i am an original mamber of DFW Mass and this Song was recorded back in 1991on the second album titled "Another Chance." with the late Sandy Pettis and the the late Debbie Austin on Leads vocals. thank you so much for posting and listening to our music. I was a part of the choir during the first 5 years. Those were some of the most siginificant years musically for me because i was a sophmore in high school when the choir was first formed.
Sandy & I were in each other's weddings. She was singing like this when she was a little girl. She's been gone for about 25 years now and I still think of her often. I have very fond memories. We had a blast! You and Jade RIL my friend. I miss you so much. 🤗😍😘♥️🕊️

I get sad every time I hear this song because I remember when the first singer died shortly after this performance in a bad car accident due to a bad storm in Dallas Tx and the flooded streets lifted the car an sweeper it into a river . They found her body by the Dallas zoo with her baby in her arms.The whole family died her mom ,grandma and kids died only survivor was the husband which is the guitar player in this video (dark skin man) they found him holding onto a branch in the river. I was a little girl when this happened and I remember like it was yesterday it seemed like the whole DFW metroplex was mourning this tragedy. RIP to Sandra Pettis & family members .

I woke up this Sunday morning looking for Because He Lives, because my grandmother, who has been gone since 2017, use to rock the babies to sleep singing it. I can hear her now. What a beautiful ministry in song.
