I don't really get why people hate Sword and Shield so much. I recently got it and it was perfectly fine. It's not my favorite pokemon game, but I still really enjoyed playing it
@@zavodila9279 From what I can tell, the Sword & Shield hate's got more to do with how the upper management of Game Freak (and by extension, the Pokemon Company) have been affecting the development process of the mainline Pokemon series in recent years.
And with shorter development cycles for larger-scale content (i.e. 1-2 years on a AAA title as opposed to 3-5) coupled with reports about morale within the dev staff being low, some people are started to get concerned for the wellbeing of Game Freak employees.

I love how the plot of this game is that they're exploring and cataloguing the pokemon and ecosystems of a newly discovered region, and the first people they send to do most of it are a bunch of children with camera-phones on a teleporting, levitating dune-buggy.
This game deadass makes me want a Pokémon ride that works like snap where you point a camera at Pokémon and try to beat your friends, like one of those interactive rides.
This game just shows how much magic Pokémon can bring to the table just by having interesting animations and interaction

The thing that I love most in video games is the interactions, so to see all the little details of the Pokémon meeting each other and being able to interact with them yourself too is really neat! It’s that wonderful feeling of exploration that got me into Pokémon to begin with.
