I’d honestly argue that the Byakuya vs Yoruichi fight is even better because you see a couple new mechanics. It appears that there is a burst like mechanic, so you can escape combos too. So far the game looks interesting, with my biggest iffy feeling being about the massive amounts of hitstop. I think because its so prevalent, it could make the gameplay feel jarring, but until we get to play it, there’s no way to know. But looks wise, i’m unsure.

In Bleach the majority of their fights fluctuates from being grounded to the majority of the time being in the air...on the plus side this game you can go from grounded to in the air, its dynamic.
There is grounded fights in the stream Gin vs Ichigo started off on the ground and you can rise and lower yourself to your opponent. I definitely do see the problem with the repeating supers so hopefully they do find a work around for that though I personally don't mind it. I do think the combos need variation and I'm hoping that's something the game has considering we've seen some moves not being used by both characters. That's the one last thing I feel the game needs to seal the deal as a completely good game after seeing the nice movements which is one of the main things I was worried about initially from the trailers because of how slow the movement looked. Now in fairness with the match length both characters got lowered as little as they could. I can imagine there'd be cases where you'd moreso be winning with 6 Konpaku in 2-3 minutes and also the fact that these are devs and we've seen that they aren't completely good at the game meaning there's tons of room for optimization at the casual and competitive level.
I'd be down for them to be on the ground if it meant we got some destructible arenas. Also, *SOUL DESTRUCTION!* Also also, gahdamn, lady changed her whole outfit for a transformation. That's neat.

About the Supers being kinda of repetitive. I mean, I guess but I don’t think it’s that big of a problem. A good example is the DBZBT3 or DBZRB2. Those games got a bunch of Supers that goes into Cutscenes. But I argue that’s one of her best things about. Plus you’re able to used them pretty freely as long as you manage your Ki. Considering how iconic those games became. I don’t see why Cutscenes are such an issue right now. Heck the Storm games I think also fall in this category. So it’s not really a problem. Also I do NOT mind long matches. I don’t see how that’s an issue. Is it an issue? If so then explain why? Especially if you’re fighting someone really good at the game. I want us to go to WAR while we’re playing. Remind back when I used to play DBBudokai 3(Dimps) with the homies. I'm guessing it can feel like a drag when some matches last a long time? Like DBFZ got a bad rap during the LC21 (Lab Coat 21) days because she made matches incredibly long. Before people were hype when time ran down because it meant those players were GAMING! So idk if it's really that bad

I don't mind the longer length matches, myself, since I don't plan to take my gameplay online. At best, I'll be rocking it with friends and we'll have fun hyping with our favorites.
The thing i noticed and wanted to point out. The matches are long because of the damage output from each character being different. If you actually look Ichigo was doing more damage which gave him the advantage. Also matches going on for a short time can be the reason people get bored with a fighting game. Speaking on that boring factor. It's not always the visuals that make a person bored or tired of seeing them. It's because people don't always have the options. People get bored and tired of fighting games because of many things. It could be visuals it could be because they are tired of seeing the same characters in online play. They probably have done everything one the game and just stop playing it. Saying it is just the visuals is an excuse. The only thing that is bad is they used the soul destruction as the balance system. If you didn't notice the battle is longer because once you do a soul destruction you are ending that round. Then when you are fighting again i am sure your spiritual pressure stays low or around the area you had it before the soul destruction. It is kinda like the naru storm games when they did that where you defeat your opponent and then you basically start a new round but the one that got knocked out get hp back while the one that won that round gets nothing. I am wondering if you can change the soul destruction.
i mean to be fair i agree with the take about getting sick of the cinematics but also the actual moves aren’t very cinematic after they do the intense cutscenes. like they’re not like full on locked animation ultimates its just a lot of start up cutscenes

We know for sure there's at least some variation especially when you compare the combo that Ichigo was doing compared to the one in his trailer reveal. His Getsuga Tensho btw is his Kikon move.
This gameplay was recorded in a session where the voice actors from the anime and the creator of the manga Tite Kubo are playing, so they're not particularly good or even know the games mechanics well, that's why Yoruichi is spamming and Ichigo didn't use the Getsuga Tensho.
There actually seems to be combo variety, but it seems like the people playing yoruichi and ichigo just didn't know how combos worked. Look at the matches where gin was played, he was doing some really nice combos there
Yeah, that was a concern of mine. Then I realised the people playing are just spamming the same combo and super moves. The last gameplay of the stream showed other combos.
@NEONlights-lb8um Exactly. I think people need to watch all the matches from the stream to at least get a better look at the gameplay. I don't know how deep the combat will be, but from what I've seen, it has a lot of potential so I'm hyped to see what other players will do when they have more time with the game
My biggest complaint is the Kikon Move essentially being a cutscene into the next round, rather than a tool you can use to take advantage in the battle. I hope there’s some freedom to it but it’s hard to gauge
I feel like that first match was so long because it seemed a bit rehearsed like they wanted to show off everything. Like transforming right after each other and then hitting their últs back to bac
itll probably be possible to lower the amount of konpaku gauges you have before the match starts, kinda like how budokai 3 did, ya know something to help the matches feel like they arent draggin on for too long
14:20 in the Naruto clash of ninja games I know you could modify how much health you have and the attack power as well as use handicaps. Hopefully this game will have something similar to speed up the matches
6:03 Yeah, I do feel like the texts are a bit too big, hope there's a setting to scale it down, also, not really a fan of the UI tbh, especially the size for the white gauge at the bottom wished they just made the EX and Reverse gauge the same size. But other than that, gameplay wise, I'm loving it, it's very fast paced which is right up my alley, mechanics are unique to the game itself it's not the typical dodge or block, but perfect timing is necessary for both as perfect dodge/block will activate attack follow-ups.
this game looks cool and I can't wait to play it, but there is clearly some problems this game has that I hope get touched upon in a sequel (assuming this sells well)
@@DerriousGamez the konpaku system.....you should be able to kill someone off basic strikes alone not just supers to deal damage thats an odd feature there also needs to be battle damage to the characters' outfits
@@Malcommind That can be addressed in this game though. They can make it that you lose only one, but then would you be willing to just remove his konpaku that slowly?
I actually think most major Bleach fights take place on the ground to be fair to you. The major air ones are any Grimjoww fight and Gotei 13 vs the top 3 Espada but I'm struggling to think of any other major fight that took place in the air. Maybe Gremmy vs Kenpachi and thats about it. So it should be grounded
Yea my only complaint is how all the visual text and announcer stuff makes the match feel busier than it actually is. It can be annoying. Im hoping there's a feature to shut that stuff off/on
Hmm on yhe topic of them fighting on the ground. While i agree it would be nice fornthem to be on thr ground its a possibly they put them in the air to less the need animate arenas destructionm. The game looks nice and clean i do like how we see how the gagues work and how its a long bar and once that breaks that when you can do your flash attacks and fo some big damage. Love the attention to detail they have for moves they displayed. Yoruichi have that smovement is so clean and its gonna be sick.
Nah I love bardock In Dbfz. And the people who still play him are either really good or really bad. Dbfz is the most anime accurate game our right now🤷🏾♂️
the camera angle is messing me up cause it makes it feel like its an arena fighter. If its more 3d than arena than I might get it. I need a demo to judge for me.
I feel the same way. This game seems to have WAY too many cutscenes, this seems kinda...yikes. Also the movement is pretty limiting with slow walk speed and short dashes. Another thing is the lack of an actual combo systems with launchers and otg's and all that jazz like in demon slayer hinokami chronicles.
They really need to fix those effects in the air.... There shouldn't be rocks exploding when Ichigo slams his sword down in the sky. Shit is jarring asf.
A lot of it is confusing to you cause you don’t watch bleach your not really that knowledgeable on the series but if you read the manga or watch the anime you’ll understand a lot about the system
Ichigo vs Byakuya the final clash with Byakuya using Senkei (I might be misremembering the name) and Ichigo using a Getsuga Tensho clash that's what it's referencing.
? What a weird comment. So because the game isn’t a traditional fighter that just means matches can take 10 minutes at a time and cut scenes can constantly break up the flow of the match?
@@LotusAsakura Absolutely, this and every other anime arena fighters ceiling is "gathering a bunch of friend to play at your place", at which point none will have a problem with the cut scenes. These aren't meant to be taken seriously, not even sparking. That game is deliberately designed to have no balancing at all.
This game got the style down, but the gameplay looks mid. Looks like the combat is just mainly counters with heavy and light attacks. Ichigo hasn't use any getsuga tenshou as a projectile like a Fireball in the Storm series or a Beam in Budokai Tenkaichi. The special attacks doesn't look like it follows the traditional arena system where you risk spending a bar to hit or miss an ability. It's more of like finisher/transitional phase from having level 9 health bar to just being reduced to 6 depending the amount of bar you have at the bottom right. I can be completely wrong. I'm only judging purely based on this gameplay footage alone.
@@ltleon5854 Yoruichi is one of the characters with counters Ichigo though has a spinning move with armor instead. Also there's multiple moves that weren't used in the footage for either of these characters. Getsuga Tensho isn't really a fireball kind of attack and is more of a super like attack. He uses it as a way to deal a large amount of damage in his fights as a last ditch effort rather than to space out the opponent like fireball projectiles or beams. The most he's ever used Getsuga Tensho in a single fight was in the Byakuya fight. The special attacks do follow that system when and when you're not breaking their Konpaku. You can use those supers outside of breaking their Konpaku to deal damage as well.
Nah you should check out the full tournament the gameplay looks REALLY GOOD for a beginner match, these guys playing weren't as cracked as you think so there's probably alot more to it. Also this is is still in development so the animations and other game mechanics will still be polished further.

You also gotta think this isn't in the hands of the FGC players or pros yet because they will find ways to make matches shorter
itll probably be possible to lower the amount of konpaku gauges you have before the match starts, kinda like how budokai 3 did, ya know something to help the matches feel like they arent draggin on for too long
14:20 in the Naruto clash of ninja games I know you could modify how much health you have and the attack power as well as use handicaps. Hopefully this game will have something similar to speed up the matches
I want to think that the lives can be adjusted to therefore make the fight shorter. 9 kenpaku is probably the most health you can select
Tbf there should be a feature where you can choose how quickly the cinematic plays at least on local gameplay...
Its crazy that as of 2024 JJK and Demon Slayer had disappointing games and DBZ and Bleach have some amazing looking games coming out 😂
6:03 Yeah, I do feel like the texts are a bit too big, hope there's a setting to scale it down, also, not really a fan of the UI tbh, especially the size for the white gauge at the bottom wished they just made the EX and Reverse gauge the same size. But other than that, gameplay wise, I'm loving it, it's very fast paced which is right up my alley, mechanics are unique to the game itself it's not the typical dodge or block, but perfect timing is necessary for both as perfect dodge/block will activate attack follow-ups.
Nah the texts are fine, the UI itself is too big tho. Can't see half the screen lmao
this game looks cool and I can't wait to play it, but there is clearly some problems this game has that I hope get touched upon in a sequel (assuming this sells well)
Like what?
@@DerriousGamez the konpaku system.....you should be able to kill someone off basic strikes alone not just supers to deal damage thats an odd feature there also needs to be battle damage to the characters' outfits
@@Malcommind That can be addressed in this game though. They can make it that you lose only one, but then would you be willing to just remove his konpaku that slowly?
@@gamerforlife3946 nah it going slowly is the issue to begin with
@@Malcommind Well that may be due to the players here don’t even know what they are doing and not optimising the game’s mechanics
You fight on the ground depending on the stage
Tbh I feel like this Bleach game takes some inspirations from Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Series when it comes to the Cinematic Super & Ultimate Moves
Nah I love bardock In Dbfz. And the people who still play him are either really good or really bad. Dbfz is the most anime accurate game our right now🤷🏾♂️
My only issue is that when you go for your evolution it resets both of you to neutral. It looks sick ngl
Im Sure By Now You Done Seen The Other Matches.
Where They Are Fighting ON The GROUND.
So You Can Stop Nitpicking Them Being In The Air.😅😂
Gameplay wise this is definitely better than Demon Slayer and could be better than Storm.
Looks wise its on par with those series.
Lets be real, as hype as lotus is acting he's gonna drop this game in 2-3 months
the camera angle is messing me up cause it makes it feel like its an arena fighter. If its more 3d than arena than I might get it. I need a demo to judge for me.
You wanted them to do something they barely even do in the show is insane to me this is literally bleach they rarely fight on the ground
The health bar system seems a little convoluted
Early
lol bro really said ik they fight on the air most of the time in bleach but let’s fight on the ground 😂😂😂
Not gonna lie, I don't really like how the mechanics of this game look
I feel the same way. This game seems to have WAY too many cutscenes, this seems kinda...yikes.
Also the movement is pretty limiting with slow walk speed and short dashes.
Another thing is the lack of an actual combo systems with launchers and otg's and all that jazz like in demon slayer hinokami chronicles.
They really need to fix those effects in the air.... There shouldn't be rocks exploding when Ichigo slams his sword down in the sky. Shit is jarring asf.
the song changes when they transfrom, from what was shown some characters have their own songs like Yoroichi song is different from Ichigo
Idk if I'll like this game. I'm hoping combat has some depth to it.
Am early as hell
I agree with pretty much every criticism Lotus had, but overall the game looks amazing and Im hyped to play this shit foreal.
A lot of it is confusing to you cause you don’t watch bleach your not really that knowledgeable on the series but if you read the manga or watch the anime you’ll understand a lot about the system
Nah, he did watch it there's just a few stuff you forget
One thing i dont like is the non anime moves like the finishing move i dont remember that
Ichigo vs Byakuya the final clash with Byakuya using Senkei (I might be misremembering the name) and Ichigo using a Getsuga Tensho clash that's what it's referencing.
@@Honest_Mids_Masher ahhh
@@Honest_Mids_Masher yeah senkei is the swords room that final attack of byakuya is called shukei hakuteiken
@@andrei-cezarbleaje5519 Got it, thanks for the correction
brother is comparing an anime arena fighting game to a real fighting game
bruh, nobody takes these game serious, who cares about cut aways lmao
@@tropicalpenguin4668 oh nvm you're just talking to talk lol. Carry on.
@@LotusAsakura acting like you're gonna play this game longer for a month smh
Yeah it’s not great but at least is not as bad sparking zero gameplay so it shouldn’t be that a big a problem 😭.
Game is gaabage
Look at you can't even spell correctly 😂
Garbage opinion
Your spelling is garbage
