My youngest sister took her life two weeks ago. She left behind a husband and 3-month old baby. And her father, mother and all her older siblings.
Every message of hope, faith, perseverance, of working through hard times, of trust and strength... these messages are for those of us who live. But how can I speak of these things when for her, it's too late?
Every message that would have made a difference, that could have helped, that should have been shared with her is too late to save her now, and the anguish is too much to bear.
Only one distant day, at the last day, in the resurrection, we'll get to tell her, and she will know how much she is loved.

She is aware of each of you and is grieved for the impact she had on each of you. She understands that she made a terrible mistake and is pained that she has limited ability to assuage your pain. Postpartum depression is as real as getting run over by a truck and for a moment, it overtook her enough to do something she wouldn't have done otherwise. If it was in my power to do so, I would trade places with her, but unfortunately I can't. She still loves each of you more than you understand and wants maximum healing for all, sooner than later. You will meet again and hopefully, sooner than you think.
This is beautifully thought provoking. We need more hopeful messages like this.
