Unless they are too specific it's not that crazy. They may well panic Putin into doing something really stupid, as he is already very jittery.
They are just speaking in general terms. The Russkis know an offensive is coming; but that is useless if they don't know exavtly when and where.
Some of it is probably disinformation to confuse the enemy. The Ukrainians have mastered the art, having checkmated the Russians at least twice in the past year...And I think that a massive Ukrainian military build up would be difficult to hide from the enemy. Russia also gathers intelligence of course.

The counter offensive won’t start until the ground is adequately dry and solid regardless of whether all the vehicles and equipment has arrived.
How do you know that? You work at pantagon? Check the Dive they show you main advisor to Zelenski said they don't have 50% , they are far from ready, lot of push back from population against mandatory compulsive conscription in Ukraine. Zelenski don't have the numbers, and Russia won't wait for it, they are ready by any weather, or type of ground, even have aeroglders transport to pass over muddy feilds. They got their sh*t together there has been no operational pause for Russia since the first counter-attack from Ukraine last October.
Both sides are waiting for that dry ground. Mud does not pick sides.

Tanks are more vulnerable to small drones in this conflict than to a conventional air force, which neither side has been able to use to effect.
I dont know, so far the russians have been sending tanks into ukriane with plenty of air force, and considering that ukriane has managed to slaughter their tanks despite the air force presence, id say we at least wait and see how ukriane does. If russia cant effectivley use tanks WITH an airforce, it kinda puts a javelin round sized hole in your theory. Plus i beleive ukraine has pilots training alongside nato forces, so its not unreasonable to think they may have a small air force to bear when the counteroffensive starts. Im sure it helps to have planes, but as the ruskies have demonstrated, it isnt everything.
Against the US and it's allies, yes. But RUS combined forces are atrocious, they have been for decades, that is why they result to aerial bombardment of civilian infrastructure. Spetsnaz is good, everything else is woefully under performing.

I hope they have enough ammunition to not only start the offensive but to sustain it and really grab back land quickly and effectively. It's not like Russia are not aware or can't see build ups on satalite, so sure advertise the counter offensive in general terms but hide the specifics, especially where exactly, But I would even give the Russians a count down timer, make them very aware vengeance is coming... Then on the actual day, nothing, then the next day everything. Stress them out.

Actually there was huge disinformation prior to D-Day. They had fake armies in England to make the Germans think they were coming over at Calais. Patton was part of it to make them think it was true since they thought he was the Allies best combat officer. That’s why the Germans didn’t immediately reinforce Normandy since they though it was a diversion probably the key to victory.

Its sick sending those men into the meat grinder. They need to sort out a peace agreement and stop this madness.
I hope Ukraine has enough troops, equipment and firepower to conduct a succesfull counteroffensive. It's going to be a tough challenge for them because the attacking side usually has to have a 3:1 troop advantage over the defending side. The ruzzian invaders have had plenty of time to dig in and establish defensive positions.

It also doesn't help that Ukraine is having to combat Russia, but is also having to work around United States of America restrictions, and have been dictated by the United States of America, when they can, and can't attack, because they're being blackmailed by the aid they've been receiving, and have to follow such orders to not lose, or delay that help. Any, an, or all talks between Russia, and Ukraine ceasefire end up with Russia sending a bombardment of missile an airstrikes as a response.
